The Class 300 Resort Sokcho Honest Review: A Family Summer Getaway

Hello everyone!

It's K-Hug here.

With the peak vacation season upon us, I'm taking a break from my Kazakhstan travel stories to review a hotel in Korea.

Location:

The Class 300

3915, Donghae-daero, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do

Check-in: 3:00 PM ~ Check-out: 11:00 AM

Parking: Okay. The underground parking lot is small, so I recommend using the parking lot in front of the hotel building, behind the resort, or the empty lot next to the hotel.

Hongcheon Service Area

It took about 5 hours and 30 minutes to get from Seoul to Yangyang. It was Saturday and peak vacation season, so it was about two hours more congested than usual.

Taking a break at the rest stop is always fun!

We arrived at The Class 300 Hotel around 4 PM.

The hotel and resort are in the same location.

You have to check in at the hotel lobby on the first floor, even for the resort.

Breakfast is on the 15th floor of the main hotel building.

The resort building is separate, so you have to move after checking in.

Two single beds.

The resort cost about 250,000 won. I thought it was a reasonable price for a family of four during peak season.

Putting the fruit we brought in the fridge.

The Class 300 Resort Honest Review

Cons:

The towels were thin. Only four thin face towels.

It was inconvenient not having a bath mat. Bring extra towels.

The cleaning was not good at all.

Other people's hair was stuck to the sink, shower booth, and toilet. I cleaned the shower booth with water before my family used it. There was hair on the floor too.

There's an induction cooktop, but you have to rent cookware and dishes for 10,000 won.

Bring your own toothbrush and amenities.

Pros:

Sokcho Beach is within a 10-minute walk.

Breakfast service is available for 22,000 won.

There's a microwave.

It was okay for just sleeping one night.

However, the shower booth leaked, and the bathroom floor got wet.

There was an induction cooktop and a microwave, but we didn't use them.

It's a room for up to 4 people, so there were two sets of blankets and mattresses prepared. We slept comfortably.

There's also a sink where you can wash dishes.

My family was on the 9th floor, and we had a nice view of the East Sea.

At night, we ate dinner at Daepo Port, had coffee at Oeongchi Beach, and went to Sokcho Beach. All are located within a short distance.

I'll review the food and coffee later.

The Class 300 Breakfast the Next Day

We went up to the 15th floor of the main hotel building for breakfast. You pay at the kiosk according to the number of people, and you get a receipt that you show to the manager.

This is the entrance to the breakfast restaurant.

Open from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

However!! Perhaps because there aren't many employees, the restaurant wasn't ready even after 7:00 AM. I waited for 10 minutes.

The size was a bit small.

My family got a seat by the window.

It's a restaurant with a good ocean view.

The coffee was so good that I drank three cups.

There's a bread corner.

It's mainly a Korean-style breakfast buffet.

To be honest, I initially thought it wasn't worth the price, but there weren't many people coming for breakfast, so I didn't think they were making much profit.

And with the current high prices in Korea, 22,000 won seems like a great breakfast.

If they removed a few Korean dishes and added omelets and bacon, it would have received a higher score.

There were many Korean dishes. If you like Korean food, you might be satisfied.

The coffee was still good.

It was good to eat with fruit and bread.

The soup was also good.

I also recommend the sweet pumpkin salad and crab stick salad.

Looking at the menu, 22,000 won is a good price.

Eating out anywhere else usually costs more than 10,000 won.

The interior is clean and excellent.

You can have breakfast quietly.

I'm originally a breakfast person, so I'll probably have breakfast again next time.

And it seemed to only operate on weekends. I'm not sure, so please check when you check in.

It seems like it was prepared as a catering buffet (there was a buffet truck parked), but that's just how catering buffets are. If that's the case, the breakfast makes sense.

Breakfast is recommended for families and those who came with their parents.

If you came with friends, you can eat something else.

Then have a fun summer vacation in Sokcho!
