Paradise Hotel in Yeongjongdo - just the name conjures up images of the perfect "hotel vacation," right?

I recently went there myself, using a special anniversary as an excuse.

It wasn't just about staying overnight; I packed everything I needed to fully embrace the celebratory atmosphere and some great staycation tips. It made the experience so much more rewarding.

I especially loved having a bathtub in the room, allowing for a private spa experience. Since there aren't many restaurants nearby, I made good use of the CU convenience store on the first floor.

I'm going to share how to watch your favorite streaming services on the TV from bed and all my anniversary preparation tips.

Staycation Essentials: Pro Tips

One of the main reasons I go to hotels is to enjoy a relaxing bath in the tub.

I don't have a bathtub at home, and I prefer to enjoy a bath in a place where I don't have to clean the tub myself!

So, I used bath salts from Don Quijote in Japan for a lovely spa-like experience.

Here are the essentials I, as an ESFJ, always pack in my suitcase for a truly perfect staycation, starting with these small, helpful items.

Phone stand, charger, humidifier (it gets so dry in the winter that I've caught a cold...), travel electric kettle, disposable spoons/forks, toothbrush, toothpaste, pajamas, basic medicine

Yes, I'm the type of person who needs to bring all of this, even for just one night in Korea...

These days, many hotels don't provide toothbrushes, so bringing your own will save you a trip to the convenience store!

I'll include a link to a separate post at the bottom with details about the room layout and size.

It was a deluxe twin room and quite spacious, with the bathroom separate from the room. It was designed so you can lie down and see the view from the window.

Bath Bombs & Essential Items for a Relaxing Bath!!

The bathtubs at Paradise Hotel are generously sized, perfect for a blissful bath.

Preparing to Watch Streaming Services

Since we had a large bed (actually two beds!), we wanted to lie down and watch streaming services, but the TV wouldn't turn on. For iPhones, you need to request a set-top box from the front desk. So, I called and requested one.

Samsung Galaxy: Connect using Smart View mirroring

iPhone: The staff will bring and install a new set-top box in your room when you request it from the front desk.

However, I've heard that set-top boxes can be fully booked during peak season, so if you really want to watch streaming services, bring your own device.

You know what real happiness is? Buying a bunch of snacks and beer from the convenience store on the first floor and eating them until you fall asleep!

We just bought our favorite snacks and beer and enjoyed them.

CU also had Chestnut Tiramisu, which I got to try for the first time.

I fell asleep without even realizing it, and when I woke up, it was already time for breakfast!

You can buy anything you need at the CU across from Cimer, and I'll leave comments with links to the bath salts and the toothbrush I've been loving!
