Our First Kids' Pension Experience as a Family of Three: A Resounding Success!

Our First Kids' Pension Experience as a Family of Three: A Resounding Success!
Paid for with my own money!
We decided to go on a family trip before summer ended!
This was our first family trip with 7-month-old Roy, so we decided on a short, one-night, two-day trip to get a taste of it.
(Roy has already been to Hongcheon, Gangwon-do several times, though! haha)
When traveling with a baby, a kids' pension is definitely the best choice.
So, we decided to go to a kids' pension for our first trip.
Kids' Pension Selection Criteria:
Location: Gapyeong
(Easily accessible by car from Gwangmyeong)
Single-story structure
Indoor swimming pool not required
Price range: Focused on value for money
(Since we didn't know how Roy would react...)
We found ⭐️Claire Kids Pool Villa⭐️!
It's a single-story structure with everything you need.
It has an indoor spa, so you can enjoy water play if you want, and the best part is that there's no extra charge for heated water!
This trip was tailored for 7-month-old Roy, so the spa, outdoor swimming pool, and toy zone were just things we looked at and thought, "Oh, that's there!"
Therefore, please keep in mind that this kids' pension review is focused on a 7-month-old baby.
⭐️Claire Kids Pool Villa Accommodation Review⭐️
📍 Location & First Impression
📍Location: 510-64 Baekdun-ro, Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do
(Difficult to get to without a car)
After parking, you go up a very steep hill.
On the left is the pension, and on the right is the outdoor swimming pool & sand area.
There were families playing, so the atmosphere was lively!
📍 Check-in & Layout
If you tell them you made a reservation on the first floor, they will guide you to your room and kindly show you how to operate the spa and electric grill.
However, the layout to get to the room is a bit unique.
You have to go up the stairs, through a long hallway, and then down the stairs again to arrive (!)
It's a bit difficult to carry luggage and move around with a baby.
📍 Pension Interior
📍 Toy Zone
There was a jungle gym that 7-month-old Roy could crawl on, and a slide that was thrilling even for adults!
He looked at the play kitchen for a moment but quickly lost interest.
No one touched the arcade game.
📍🛌 Bedroom & Living Room
The bed was large enough for several people to roll around on.
It had a guardrail, so it was safe even if the baby rolled or bumped into it.
(However, be careful of the gap between the mattress and the guardrail⚠️)
The mattress was soft, but the pillow was too high, so we didn't use it.
📍🍽️ Kitchen
I liked the spaciousness and the table in the kitchen.
As expected of a kids' pension,
it was fully equipped with a sterilizer, water purifier, baby bottle detergent, bottle brush,
baby cup/plate/spoon, and baby chair.
The appliances/cooking utensils were also fully prepared, including an induction cooktop, microwave, rice cooker, refrigerator,
pots, pans, etc.
📍🚻 Bathroom
The bathroom was also spacious, with a bidet toilet.
It was also equipped with a baby bathtub & a step stool for the sink.
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, toothpaste,
and even baby-specific body wash!
📍👶 Enjoying with Roy
He climbed and rolled around the jungle gym well,
and the next day, he even mastered coming down backward!
I was proud to see him playing so excitedly until he ran out of energy.
When mom and dad were eating watermelon for dessert,
Roy also sat in his high chair and tasted his first watermelon 🍉
👍 What We Liked
• Excellent value for money! It's amazing that you can have so much fun for this price
• Jungle gym size perfect for a 7-month-old baby
• Full set of baby supplies (sterilizer, detergent, body wash, etc.)
→ You only need to bring formula/bottles/diapers
👎 What We Regretted
• Outlet on top of the bed guardrail
→ A protective cap seems necessary as the baby can reach it
• A little 'forgive and forget' attitude is needed as it is an old building
(Not recommended for those who prioritize cleanliness)
📍 Overall Review
It wasn't a room with an indoor swimming pool, but we were able to fully experience the atmosphere of a kids' pension.
Honestly, I wasn't sure if the baby would like it or not, so I was hesitant to book an expensive place without knowing.
(I'm not the only one, right...? hahaha)
So, I highly recommend it to those who "want to experience a kids' pension but are hesitant to get a room with a swimming pool!"
Claire Kids Pool Villa was the perfect place to start with kids' pensions,
and that's how we had a great first kids' pension trip with Roy🥰
I hope this helps those who are wondering, like I used to be, "where to stay with a 7-month-old baby."
