My Recommended Airbnb near Gwangalli Beach in Busan: Studio 202 Review

During my 2-night, 3-day trip to Busan, I stayed at only one Airbnb near Gwangalli Beach, and I'd like to recommend it! It had great accessibility, price, service (response), cleanliness, and safety. It was satisfactory enough for my 2-night, 3-day stay.
Gwangalli Accommodation Selection Criteria:
1) Near Gwangalli Beach (easy access to the sea anytime)
2) Price range of mid to late ₩200,000 for 2 nights and 3 days (for 2 people)
3) Located near a subway station and restaurants
4) Overall cleanliness (especially in the bathroom)
5) Positive feedback from previous visitors on common points
The best thing about the accommodation I stayed in was its “accessibility.”
- 2 minutes on foot from Gwangalli Beach
- 5 minutes on foot from Geumnyeonsan Station
- Approximately 5 minutes on foot from nearby restaurants
I always look for a place with a beach when I go on vacation in the summer. I wanted to see the sea as much as I could since it had been a while since I came to Busan.
This is what Gwangalli Beach looked like in mid-August 2025. The weather was cloudy for 2 out of 3 days (except for the last day when I was leaving), but it made it easier to enjoy the sea because the sun wasn't too bright. There were also people surfing, which gave it a free and relaxed atmosphere.

The accommodation I stayed in was “Studio 202” Hotel Resort. Searching for it, it comes up as a 3-star hotel. It wasn't luxurious, but it was a good value for the price.
The building is an officetel (studio apartment) structure that seems to be used entirely for accommodation. I think it had a total of 16 floors. It was a good place to stay comfortably and quietly, whether you're with friends, a partner, or alone (including foreigners).
I booked through Airbnb. Check-in was at 3 PM and check-out was at 11 AM. The Airbnb host provided detailed information via messages from the day I made the reservation (2 weeks prior). They also contacted me with instructions before check-in on the day of my visit and responded promptly when I inquired about items after check-in. The officetel structure gave it an overall clean feel.
The host thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning before I checked in, so I was able to enter comfortably and look around the accommodation. I didn't see any visible dirt on the floors, towels, or bedding, and there was no bad smell, so it passed the first impression test!
The door next to the entrance is the bathroom. The toilet and shower were separated by a glass door, which I liked because it gave it a clean and modern feel.
I forgot to take pictures of the inside of the bathroom, so I'll use Airbnb photos to explain instead.
For 2 people and 2 nights and 3 days, a total of 8 towels were provided. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided in the shower, but there was no toothpaste, so if you didn't bring any, you'll have to buy it at a nearby convenience store or Olive Young!
The kitchen was small but clean, but since this Busan trip was themed “Restaurant Tour,” I didn't need to cook or prepare any food, so I didn't use it.
Basic tableware, cutlery, and cups were provided. There was an outlet at the dining table, which made it easy to charge my phone. The air conditioner and TV remote worked well, so I had no complaints.
There is a sofa and a low table in the living room. There was a standing lamp by the window, which created a nice atmosphere in the evening when I turned off the fluorescent lights and only used the lamp.
There is only one bed on the second floor. Since it's a duplex structure, the ceiling is low. I forgot about the low ceiling when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and bumped my head...
I felt that the soundproofing was particularly lacking on the second floor where the bedroom is located. When I lay down to sleep at night, I could hear the sound of water pipes around my head. There was a notice to be careful about noise between floors after 10 PM, but the sound of the water pipes was more distracting. (But I was so tired that I fell asleep quickly, so it only bothered me until I fell asleep.)
I booked through Airbnb, but after writing this post and checking, I found out that you can get a discount if you book through the NOL app, making it cheaper. The price varies by date, but it's relatively inexpensive on weekdays.
