Cozy Summer Getaway at Ganghwado's Cozy Nature Pension

"Ganghwado Pension Cozy Nature"
Duplex + Terrace + Swimming Pool…
An accommodation overflowing with summer vibes.
The sun was soft, the breeze slightly salty, and the sound of waves gently tapping my ears. Excitement bubbled up inside me as I drove towards Ganghwado.
Just an hour and a half from the city, I was greeted by the scent of the sea and a sense of tranquility. The star of this trip was 'Cozy Nature 7 Lodge.' Its duplex structure, spacious terrace, and blue swimming pool seemed to welcome me with open arms!
The dedicated parking space right in front was a welcome sight, eliminating any worries about carrying luggage. This small convenience instantly boosted my vacation mood!
The lodges lined up in front of the terrace, along with the shimmering swimming pool, created a picturesque scene. At that moment, I thought, "This trip is already half a success." After unpacking, the clean dishes and cooking utensils gave me confidence that I could cook anything here. Looking out at the sea, I wished I could stay here all day.
Cooling off in the blue water, grilling meat on the downstairs terrace at sunset, and indulging in the starlight and the sound of waves at night. Then, in the morning, enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee while gazing at the sea… This trip made me realize that 'a good accommodation can make all the difference.'
Let me share my genuine review, step by step!
1. Arrival and First Impressions
I have fond memories of visiting Seokmodo via Ganghwado for a trip to Bomunsa Temple in the past, and last year I visited Dongmak Beach and Jeondeungsa Temple. This time, I just wanted to relax, so I came to Ganghwado.
As soon as I arrived at Cozy Nature Pension in Ganghwado, the dome-shaped public jacuzzi, which I had visited on a snowy winter day, caught my eye. The scent of the sea and the gentle breeze were welcoming.
Cozy Nature Pension allows dedicated parking for each lodge, making it very convenient to load and unload luggage. Even today, the panoramic sea view with the setting sun, visible as soon as I got out of the car, is truly an art.
The first floor has a queen-size bed, a spacious deck, and a barbecue area, making me think, 'I could spend all day here.'
2. Kitchen and Facilities
The pension's kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, sink, as well as bowls, spoons, chopsticks, glasses, pots, and pans.
The neatly organized appearance gave me a sense of reassurance that 'I can cook anything here.' The bathroom is also fully equipped with shower facilities, a sink, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and toothpaste, so all you need to bring is your toothbrush.
3. Swimming Pool Fun
The swimming pool is 15 meters long and 80cm to 1m deep, making it large enough for adults to enjoy. The water is cool and clean, making it hard to leave once you get in. Especially the sparkling pool scene in the sunlight and the laughter of family travelers made me think, 'Ah, this is summer.'
4. Hidden Staircase and 2nd Floor View
The way up to the second floor was fun. When you pull the display cabinet forward, ta-da~ a wooden staircase appears. The Cozy Nature Pension's second-floor bedroom has a queen-size bed, air conditioning, and a skylight, so you can have a romantic sleep while watching the stars.
From the second-floor terrace, you can see the sea and Yeongjongdo at a glance. The taste of coffee while sitting on a chair and enjoying the sea breeze is something only those who have tasted it can know.
5. Barbecue and Sunset
The barbecue area on the first-floor terrace has rain curtains, so you can eat regardless of the weather. I lost track of time grilling meat and toasting glasses against the backdrop of the sunset. The savory smell, cool breeze, and the sea dyed red made for a perfect summer night.
6. Next Morning and Nearby Outings
In the morning, a simple breakfast of bread, fruit, and coffee. Eating on the terrace while looking at the sea made me feel like I wasn't missing out on even a hotel buffet. It's a good place to feel the charm of Ganghwado by looking around nearby Dongmak Beach, Jeondeungsa Temple, and Chojijin. The owner also tells me that families with children often visit Ganghwa Luge, which is right nearby.

A Lasting Impression
I've been to Ganghwado several times, and I've introduced Cozy Nature Pension as a place where you don't have to do anything. The sea, the wind, the sun, and comfortable accommodation. These four things make for a perfect day. Next time, I want to come with my family and make more memories.
