This week is my long-awaited vacation, a reward after a year of hard work!
To make the most of my company holiday and my husband's day off, we quickly planned a trip.
(Our trips are always a bit spontaneous!)
We debated on where to go, but ultimately decided on Jirisan Mountain, based on our shared desire for a quiet vacation in the mountains, away from everything.

Our accommodation, 'Beautiful Pension,' is located in the Piagol Pension complex, nestled at the very end.
I booked it through Vacation Shop using company holiday support funds I applied for earlier this year!
It's so much easier to relax when the accommodation is already paid for, right?
The road leading up is a bit steep, so it might be challenging for beginner drivers or in the winter.
There's a parking lot in front of the pension.
Two sets of stairs lead up, and our room, Papaya, was on the top floor!
My husband was immediately impressed and exclaimed how great the accommodation was!

The room also has a bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak with a view.
They even provided a bubble bomb! The scent was lovely and made me feel so relaxed. 😊
The interior and furnishings are practically brand new, as it was recently renovated.
The large refrigerator was a plus, and we loved the huge TV!
The place was also impeccably clean, which made us feel great as soon as we walked in! ✨
Beautiful Pension - User Guide
We checked the available tableware and were pleased to find everything we needed to cook without any issues.
The variety of plate sizes was great, and most importantly, everything was spotless! 👍
Each room has a private terrace.
Since we were in the mountains, we were a bit wary of bugs and didn't use it as much.
It rained most of the time, but the view was still amazing!
Exactly the mountain retreat I was hoping for. 😊
The Hwagae Market and a supermarket are less than a 10-minute drive from the accommodation.
With the blinds down, it gets completely dark at night.
We did have a brief battle with a large bug that was flying around for about 10 minutes! 😂
The small, charming decorations showed the owner's care and attention to detail.
We bought some snacks at the supermarket and enjoyed a simple late-night meal.
Had to take a picture of Hite beer, it's been so long! lol
We spent the first day relaxing at the pension, watching TV, and cooking.
I wonder how big the TV was..?
Anyway, that wraps up my review of this enjoyable first day!
2 Nights, 3 Days - Honest Review
Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You could definitely feel how much the owner cares for the pension through its cleanliness.
The tableware, furniture, and bedding were all spotless, and the towels smelled wonderfully fresh, like fabric softener!
Quietness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Being located at the very end of the Piagol Pension complex, it was incredibly quiet.
We went to Jirisan aiming to disconnect from the world, so it was perfect for us.
There was another group staying on the first day, but we barely heard them, which was surprising.
Location: ⭐⭐⭐
The steep entrance might be a bit challenging for inexperienced drivers.
It could be dangerous in the winter.
But that also contributed to the peace and quiet!
