Finding Peace and Rejuvenation at Jingwansa Temple

Nestled at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, lies Jingwansa Temple, a thousand-year-old temple renowned for its Temple Stay program.
I recently escaped my busy life to soothe my body and mind at this tranquil haven. Walking through the forest paths filled with fresh air and birdsong, I cherished the opportunity to clear my complicated thoughts.
In the stillness, I was able to confront myself, meditate calmly, and learn wisdom for life through a tea ceremony with a monk.

The experience of preparing and eating temple food was more than just a meal; it was a special time to purify my body and soul.
Jingwansa Temple's accessibility from Seoul, combined with the complete absence of urban noise, makes it an ideal place for genuine relaxation.
The Temple Stay program offers a wide range of options to suit individual preferences.

In particular, the sound of the clear water flowing along the Jingwansa Valley and the serene scenery provided comfort throughout my walk. The view of Bukhansan Mountain from in front of the Daeungjeon (main hall) was a picture in itself, and I felt that I could experience the beauty of all four seasons there.
In the evening, I spent time gazing at the stars adorning the night sky, a perfect way to end the day. It felt especially special because it's a sight not easily seen in the city.

The Jingwansa Temple Stay gifted me with time to fully focus on myself and recharge. I was able to naturally experience peace of mind without forcing myself to do anything.
If you want to relieve stress by quietly contemplating in nature, visit Jingwansa Temple. It will be a meaningful time to find inner peace, going beyond simply taking a break.

Through this Temple Stay, I fully recharged my energy to return to everyday life. I hope to visit with my family next time.
