A Visit to Huhueam Temple in Yangyang: Coastal Views and Schools of Fish

Hello everyone! Today, I'm reviewing Huhueam Temple, a coastal temple in Yangyang where you can see schools of fish!
When you think of Yangyang, what attractions come to mind? Many people visit Naksansa Temple, but we decided to visit Huhueam Temple, where you can see schools of fish from the coastal rocks.
Parking Lot
We parked the car in the parking lot and headed towards the entrance to Huhueam Temple.
Don't worry, it's not a long walk!

The name 'Huhueam' means 'resting and relaxing comfortably at the temple,' as you can see from the stone monument on the upper right of the photo. The 'rest' character (休) is used twice.
Please note that there are no restrooms inside the temple!
What is the difference between a *sachal* (寺刹) and an *amja* (庵子)? Generally, larger temples are called 'OOsa', and smaller temples are called 'OOam'!
The Bulimun Gate
It is said that you will achieve enlightenment after passing through this gate, the Bulimun Gate.
As you walk along this path, you will pass through the Bulimun Gate.
Walking through the gate, you will see temples like this, although I'm not sure what they are.
If you keep walking, you'll come across this scenery.
The Buddha statue on the right is huge.
Cute Novice Monks
There are also stone statues in the shape of these novice monks, and there is water to cool you down.
There is a Buddhist department store selling various items, so it would be nice to buy a souvenir!
Right next to it, they sell locally grown greens.
After looking around, we headed to the place with the large Buddha statue I mentioned earlier.
When I got there, there was a bell.
Looking from the side, it seems like you can actually ring it!
The identity of the large Buddha statue is the Wisdom Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva.
If you go down to the left, you will come across this coastline.
There is a space in the middle where you can sit and rest.
If you go down the stairs and walk along the coast...
...you will find a space to go up like this.
Here, you can release fish for money to accumulate merit, but it seems like a commercial gimmick.
Looking at the rocks after seeing the released fish, it looks like this.
The open sea is so beautiful.
By the way, you can feed the fish for 2,000 won.
I took a picture.
They say the fish that come out of each rock are different. I didn't see the sea otter family...
A pair of cute Spot-billed ducks

Like this, there are schools of fish in every rock crevice.

There are also crab friends.

That's all for this post!
