A Sweet Surprise: Discovering the Jeju Citrus Museum

Looking for something new to do on the weekend, the Jeju Citrus Museum suddenly came to mind.
Even though I live on Jeju Island, it was a place I had never visited.
Honestly, I initially thought it would just be a regular museum, but once I got there, a whole new world unfolded.
Driving along Seogwipo Hyodon Circulation Road, I started seeing signs for the Citrus Museum.
A Thrilling First Step
I arrived right as it opened at 9 AM, and the subtle scent of citrus greeted me at the entrance.
The weather was a bit chilly, but stepping inside felt warm and cozy.
A staff member kindly guided me and introduced me to the various attractions of the Citrus Museum.
The admission fee was also reasonable, at ₩1,500 for adults.
I was a little awkward at first, but I gradually became more and more interested.
Unexpected Experiences
Touring the exhibition hall, I learned about the history and cultivation process of citrus fruits in detail.
It was especially fascinating to see different varieties of citrus fruits from around the world in one place.
I knew Jeju Island was famous for its citrus fruits, but I didn't realize it had such a rich history and culture.

In the subtropical botanical garden, I could see tropical fruit trees like banana and mango trees up close.
Even in the middle of winter, the greenhouse was warm, making me feel like I was in another country.

What impressed me most at the Citrus Museum was the foot bath experience.
I was really surprised that it was free.
Soaking my feet in the warm water made me feel like all the fatigue accumulated throughout the day was melting away.

A Relaxing Time for the Soul
Touring the Citrus Museum gave me a new perspective on the nature and culture of Jeju Island.
Even the citrus fields I used to pass by now look different.
The Wolrabong Saengiseori Trail around the museum was also great for a walk, making me feel refreshed.

Getting away from my busy daily life and spending such leisurely time made me feel much lighter.
The time I spent at the Citrus Museum wasn't just a simple tour, it was a truly healing experience.
The Value of New Experiences
The Citrus Museum also had various citrus-related experience programs available.
There were interesting programs like cookie and muffin making, and citrus pizza making.
Next time, I'd like to make a reservation and participate in the experience programs.

In particular, I definitely want to try the citrus picking experience, which is offered seasonally.
You can also watch 3D videos and get various information about citrus fruits, making it educationally meaningful.
Why I Recommend the Citrus Museum
I think the Citrus Museum is a place that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
It's an opportunity for children to learn about nature, and a time for adults to relieve stress.
In particular, there are many indoor exhibition spaces, so it's great that you can enjoy the tour comfortably regardless of the weather.

The parking lot is spacious and the accessibility is good, so it's a place you can visit without any burden.
You can see the Citrus Museum in about 1-2 hours, so it's also good to visit in conjunction with other tourist attractions.

Lingering Thoughts on the Way Back
Leaving the Citrus Museum, I felt satisfied that I had spent the day really well.
In particular, I kept thinking about the comfort I felt while soaking my feet and the amazing plants I saw in the subtropical botanical garden.

I was sorry that I was only now discovering that there was such a charming place on Jeju Island, even though I live here.
When I came home and drank the citrus tea I bought at the Citrus Museum, today's memories felt even sweeter.

In the future, I want to find more of these special places on Jeju Island and accumulate new experiences.
The Citrus Museum is a place I really want to recommend to those who are planning a trip to Jeju Island.

Especially if you visit as a family, I'm sure everyone will have a great time.

I sincerely recommend that you create sweet and warm memories at the Jeju Citrus Museum.
