A Day Trip to Gyeongju: Brunch, Bulguksa Temple, and Sinkhole on Netflix

Tried to get in line for Nokgeum Dessert, which is only open on Sundays...
Failed miserably as the waiting list closed just one minute after opening. ~~~~~
Gyeongju Tak
Gyeongju Tak for brunch!
They beautifully renovated a traditional Korean house (Hanok).
Gyeongju has such pretty buildings.
Gyeongju Tak
At first, I ordered a cardamom bun, a popular Danish pastry, and bread with hummus.
When I tried the cardamom bun that came out first, it was so delicious! I immediately ordered more.
I also ordered and ate a pain au chocolat.
After finishing the two pastries, the hummus arrived!
It came with grilled vegetables, so I could eat it like an open-faced sandwich.
The hummus was so good I wanted to try making it at home, but
I'm out every week, so I have no time to stay home...
Gyeongju Tak
The delicious cardamom bun.

Yesterday's weather was awful, but today it's great! ~~
Dusik, the charming cat I met on the way to catch the bus to Bulguksa.
Gyeongju Go Mango
Since there was a Go Mango, I got some ice cream.
But does Go Mango have different recipes and flavors at each location...? Why didn't they have coconut ice cream here? ~?
The ice cream tasted different too. The one in Gwangmyeong is tastier. (Firmly)
Bulguksa
Took the bus~~ and arrived at Bulguksa Temple~~
It was so hot, I bought something to drink first...
The coffee looked good, but I drank Omija (magnolia berry) tea to enjoy later.
It's refreshing and very nice.
Bulguksa
And then explored Bulguksa Temple!
I'm sure I came here when I was young, but now I can finally see the beauty of the old architecture.
Unlike the temples I've seen in Seoul, the faded colors of the eaves made it look even more magnificent.
Bulguksa
Looking around here and there~~
There were many foreigners and therefore many tour guides,
Seeing how well they spoke English was so impressive.
I definitely thought I should study English harder at that moment...
Nope, not gonna do it ~~
Bulguksa
Also checked out the Bulguksa pond~~~
Bulguksa Suncheon Restaurant
I had about 30 minutes left before my bus, and I was hungry,
So I was looking for a place to eat a quick meal when
The owner said, "Don't look anywhere else, just come in!" So I went into
Suncheon Restaurant, but isn't Suncheon in South Jeolla Province!??!!! Anyway...
Bulguksa Suncheon Restaurant
I ordered wild vegetable bulgogi... but we don't have much time...
More and more dishes kept coming out... When I told the owner I had 30 minutes left before my bus, she became even busier.
The side dishes were also really delicious, but why don't I have any pictures!!!!
The owner runs the place by herself, so she can't take large groups. But it was really, really delicious and the service was great!
Ate quickly and deliciously and headed to Seokguram Grotto!!
Bulguksa - Seokguram Bus
Here's the Seokguram bus schedule!
It comes every hour, so you have to time it well.

I couldn't take pictures inside Seokguram Grotto...
Why didn't I take any pictures outside~~? Probably because it was hot...
Anyway, I looked around well and came out...
I was tired, so I took a taxi to the accommodation.
We were going to go to the swimming pool and then go out for dinner, but
I was too tired...
JinYang Chicken
Chicken delivery!!
I ordered from JinYang Chicken, a somewhat famous (?) old (?) chicken place in Gyeongju!
I ordered the fried chicken, garlic chicken gizzard combo, and
The portion was really, really big.
Ate and then passed out while watching Sinkhole on Netflix~~~~
A short review of Sinkhole:
It was totally B-grade, but it was okay to watch for time-killing purposes without expecting too much.
It was the kind of movie that you could understand even if you didn't pay much attention. ㅎ
