We're excited to share news from the Woosuri Culture Dabang achievement sharing event, which was held by the Dongmyeong-myeon Cultural City Project Promotion Group at the end of October!
On October 24th (Friday) at 10 AM, the **"Woosuri Culture Dabang Achievement Sharing Event"** hosted by the Dongmyeong-myeon Cultural City Project Promotion Group, was successfully concluded at the Woosuri Culture Dabang in Dongmyeong Market. ????
This event was designed to share the achievements of the cultural projects undertaken by the Promotion Group throughout the year with local residents, and to revive the memories and nostalgia of the past Dongmyeong Market.
Throughout the venue, the Promotion Group showcased archived materials from the project, along with interview videos and oral history exhibitions featuring Dongmyeong's elderly residents.
This allowed the attendees to naturally experience the atmosphere of the old Dongmyeong Market.
In addition, an exhibition booth featuring old daily necessities such as yeopjeon coins, branding irons, chopping blocks, lunch boxes, and silk ironing tools was operated.
It was impressive to see people sharing memories, saying, "We used to use these things back then."
The opening ceremony included introductions of honored guests, greetings, and a progress report from the Promotion Group.
The event concluded with all attendees taking a commemorative photo together.
Although it was a short time,
this achievement sharing event was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the cultural assets of Dongmyeong-myeon and to explore future directions for local cultural development together.
We will continue to develop various programs centered on the stories of local residents
to create a Dongmyeong-myeon where culture comes alive in everyday life. ????
