Hopeful tomorrowRun Seoul Run Half Marathon Review ♥

I participated in the Run Seoul Run Half Marathon.

Sunday, September 7th, 2025, 8:00 AM

Temperature: 28.2°C / Feels Like: 29.1°C / Humidity: 65% / West Wind: 2.3 m/s

I knew the weather wouldn't be easy, but thankfully it didn't rain as predicted.

Here's the breakdown:

10km - ₩59,000

21km - ₩79,000

Participants: 15,000

Since the event was organized by Ilgan Sports, who had previously hosted the Green Ribbon Marathon 19 times, the starting groups were well-organized, and we were able to start without any confusion.

However, the restroom situation was still a major problem. There were too few portable toilets, resulting in long lines.

Also, buildings were very reluctant to open their restrooms, making it extremely difficult to find one. ㅠㅠ

I'm now realizing how great it is to have a marathon at the Sangam World Cup Stadium...

They have big and nice restrooms there! ㅋ

There we were, at the starting line.

Warm memories

Three of us applied for the race together.

I didn't realize the Green Ribbon Marathon had changed to Run Seoul Run until later.

The half marathon participants had already started, and after a long search for a restroom, I ended up starting over 20 minutes late.

The half marathoners had all left first, so I started with the 10km runners, but I wasn't too concerned since it was a personal record measurement anyway.

Touching scene

Thanks to my sister, I was able to start smoothly.

I started the NRC app when I started with the Run Seoul Run 10km, but it was in treadmill mode. I realized something was wrong and had to change it midway, so the NRC didn't record much of my run. ㅋㅋ

Also, I didn't attach my bib number before starting, so I had to attach it while running, resulting in a crooked attachment.

Hopeful tomorrow

Real Review of Run Seoul Run Half Marathon!!

The 10km and 21km courses were similar, which was a little confusing.

The hydration stations were big and spacious.

The snack and medal distribution area was also spacious and easy to access along the path.

Dreamlike moment

But!! There were no sports drinks at the hydration stations.

This was really disappointing considering the weather.

I saw two people collapse before reaching the 10km mark.

(One was unconscious, showing only the whites of their eyes, and the other was conscious but unable to control their body or answer properly.)

When I talked to my sister later, she said someone almost had cardiac arrest at the finish line and had to be intubated.

They barely confirmed a heartbeat and transported them by ambulance.

Hopeful tomorrow

In this weather... Even after running, I still have a throbbing headache and feel nauseous. ㅠㅠ

I don't think I should run in September anymore...

I was surprised by the snacks.

There was no bread... I was very happy there were no bananas (getting squished and mushy bananas is terrible...).

Peaceful scenery

No bread! ㅋㅋ I was starving after the run.

There were four drinks, so it was incredibly heavy and almost unbearable.

Hehehe... But there was Impactamin and Orthomol vitamins, so maybe it was a practical selection...

My friends asked why there was a toothbrush. ㅋㅋ There wasn't even a toothpick.

The snacks were really... so stingy I felt bad...

Splendid scene

Please include bread next time! ㅋ

I liked that the medal was made of recycled plastic; it was a thoughtful touch.

Since it inherited the Green Ribbon Marathon, it was a green color, close to lime green, for the final touch. ^^

Please include sports drinks on the course next year~~

It was hard to find the patrol runners, so it was difficult to get pain relief patches applied~~

Please provide patch zones along the course!

Touching scene

Fun moment
