The Guri Cosmos Festival is being held at Guri Hangang Citizen Park from September 26th to September 28th. Today is the second day, and I visited the cosmos festival. Based on my visit, I want to share some tips on parking, how to use public transportation, free things to do, and the best place to pitch a tent.

Festival Overview

This cosmos festival is held annually. Every day from 7 PM, famous singers perform and provide enjoyable music.

Hopeful Tomorrow

Parking

There is a parking lot at Guri Hangang Citizen Park. The parking fee is ₩1,000 for the first 30 minutes, and ₩200 for every 10 minutes exceeding that. All-day parking costs ₩10,000.

However, the road leading to the parking lot is often congested with cars. You might have to wait on the road to enter the parking lot. Model taxi drivers are directing traffic and guiding visitors entering the park. The parking lot right in front of the venue is very congested.

There is a free parking lot. It's a bit farther from the entrance of the Citizen Park. Instead of entering the Citizen Park from Gangbyeonbuk-ro, you need to go a little further and then turn right. However, a large cosmos field is located right next to the free parking lot. Many people walk from the Citizen Park entrance to this large flower festival area to see the cosmos. I didn't know about the free parking lot and walked to the cosmos field, then found out about the parking lot. If you park in the free parking lot, you can go around the course in the opposite direction from other people.

Also, there is a place to ride a train-like vehicle near the parking lot entrance. You can stand in line there and take the train to the festival area.

Dreamlike Moment

When leaving, you must pay in advance at the unmanned payment station.

Using Public Transportation

If you don't use a car and take the subway, you can take a local bus from Jangja Lake Park Station on Subway Line 8 to easily reach the festival. You can use local buses #2, #6-1, #5, and #7.

When returning home from the Cosmos Festival, follow this sign to find the local bus stop. From there, take the local bus back to Jangja Lake Park Station.

Precious Memory

Camping Area

The family healing camping area is organized into sections. You can pitch a tent on the spacious lawn and enjoy a relaxing time.

Best Place to Pitch a Tent

This is the place right behind the central stage. It seems to be surrounded by a forest of trees on all sides, so it is cool and shaded regardless of the time of day. You'll probably have to come early in the morning to pitch a tent in this spot.

Peaceful Scenery

Free Old School Uniform Experience

Here, you can borrow old school uniforms for free with a simple ID check.

There is a changing room right next to it where you can change into the uniform. Many people, both men and women, young and old, were wearing school uniforms and reminiscing. When I went, the uniforms were already fully rented out.

Beautiful Scenery

Dalgona Experience, Memories of the 7080s Classroom

You can experience making Dalgona for ₩1,000, and it would be nice to sit in the 7080s classroom and relive memories.

Although not fully bloomed yet, there were many pretty cosmos flowers blooming along the streets.

Happy Time

There seemed to be plenty of restrooms and places to wash your hands, so there was no major inconvenience.

There is a lot of food at the entrance and in the center of the festival. I didn't take pictures because there were too many people, but there were various foods and many people were enjoying delicious food. I wanted to order a churro, but they said I had to wait for more than 20 minutes, so I just left.

Fun Moment

The Guri Cosmos Festival only has one day left. I hope you enjoy the festival by referring to these tips on parking, the best place to pitch a tent, and things to do and see.
