What is a Gold Crown?
It is believed to have been granted by the Baekje king to local leaders,
symbolizing the king's authority and the relationship between central and local powers.
Through the intricate decorations, you can learn about Baekje's metalworking techniques and governance methods, making Baekje's history even more fascinating.

What activities will be conducted during the summer program at the Hanseong Baekje Museum?
1. Learn about the stories of Baekje through artifacts
Through audiovisual lessons, learn about the production methods of metal artifacts and explore models of the golden crown.
2. Create your own gold crown
Make a special paper model that replicates the gold crown found in Sunchon-ri.
3. Experience role-playing as a Baekje king
Wear the completed gold crown and traditional Baekje attire to reenact the moment the king grants the crown.
The Hanseong Baekje Museum has collaborated with paper artist Kim Seon-gyeong to recreate the intricate gold crown, which was previously challenging to produce for children due to its complexity.
Experience Baekje's delicate craftsmanship and historical stories through hands-on activities.
When is the summer program at the Hanseong Baekje Museum?
Operating Period: July 28, 2026 (Tue) to August 22, 2026 (Sat)
Operating Hours: Every Tuesday to Saturday, two sessions per day
Morning: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Target Audience: Families with elementary school students (14 teams per session, total of 532 families)
Participation Fee: Free
Application Method: Reservations can be made through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System, starting 14 days prior to the visit date at 10 AM, on a first-come, first-served basis.
