Experience 'Slow Morning' in Seoul

On early weekend mornings with low traffic,
the city of Seoul will open its roads to citizens
for a program called 'Slow Morning', starting in March.
Participants can enjoy walking, running, cycling, or pushing strollers in any way they choose.
A special time will arrive when people take over the roads instead of cars.
Seoul is making a new attempt to transform urban roads
into spaces for exercise and leisure for citizens.
We will provide details on when and where it will take place!
What is Seoul's 'Slow Morning' program?
'Slow Morning' is a community sports program
that opens certain vehicle-centric roads to citizens
to freely enjoy exercise and leisure activities.
You can participate in walking, running, cycling,
strolling with strollers, or bringing pets.
What is the schedule and route for the March trial operation?
March Operation Schedule (3 sessions)
March 14 (Saturday)
March 22 (Sunday)
March 29 (Sunday)
Operating hours: 7 AM to 9 AM
Starting from the Culture Square at Yeouido Park,
the route goes along Yeouidodaero to Mapo Bridge,
and returns to the Culture Square (approximately 5 km round trip).
This will be safely operated during low traffic hours on early weekend mornings.
How can you participate?
Participation methods vary by date.
March 14 (Saturday): Pre-registration + On-site registration
March 22 and 29 (Sunday): Free participation without pre-registration!
On the 14th, for safety reasons, both pre-registration and on-site registration will be available.
On the 22nd and 29th, you can join freely without any registration.
Visit the Seoul Sports Council website to pre-register under the 'Citizen Participation Program' menu.
During the event, only partial traffic control will be implemented
to minimize citizen inconvenience.
Various experience programs will also be available at the starting and ending point.

The entire event will follow a zero-waste concept,
so bringing personal water bottles is encouraged.
'Slow Morning' may gradually change the weekend morning scenery of Seoul.
