The Seoul Design Foundation operates the citizen participation performance program 'DDP Open Stage' at the DDP Oullim Square.
We are recruiting participants for July's 'Star Busking Night' and 'Citizen Dance Night'.
This open cultural program allows anyone to become the star of the stage, expanding participatory cultural content centered around DDP.
DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) Open Stage is an open cultural program where citizens become the main characters on stage, going beyond just being spectators.

What is DDP Open Stage?
DDP Oullim Square transforms into an open stage created together by citizens and artists every month.
Citizens who once stayed as spectators can now become the stars of the stage!
New artists waiting for performance opportunities can showcase their music and stories at DDP.
DDP Open Stage is a regular program designed to break down the boundaries between the stage and the audience, creating an environment where anyone can be the protagonist of art.
The Seoul Design Foundation has been operating the regular citizen participation program 'DDP Open Stage' since June this year.
We are now recruiting participants for the upcoming 'Star Busking Night' and 'Citizen Dance Night' in July.
What is the Star Busking Night program?
Star Busking Night provides a stage for new artists and indie musicians at DDP.
Even artists with little stage experience can communicate directly with citizens and perform.
Performance Date: July 15, 2026 (Wednesday) 18:00-20:00
Application Period: July 1 - July 10
Eligibility: Citizens, trainees from agencies, new artists, etc.
Application Method:
1. Submit online application
2. First screening
3. Announcement of first-round successful candidates
4. Main stage performance
Selected participants will perform while directly communicating with citizens at DDP Oullim Square.

Can anyone participate in Citizen Dance Night?
Citizen Dance Night is a participatory dance program where citizens take center stage.
Not only professional dancers but also ordinary citizens, clubs, and families can participate.
Performance Date: July 24, 2026 (Friday) 19:30-20:30
Application Period: July 1 - July 20, 2026
Eligibility: Anyone who enjoys dancing
Application Method:

2. Participation is possible without separate approval

The structure allows easy participation without separate approval, making it accessible for anyone to experience the stage.

How will DDP Open Stage be operated in the future?
The Seoul Design Foundation plans to operate DDP Open Stage as a regular program every month.
Every third Wednesday and fourth Friday of each month will feature Star Busking Night and Citizen Dance Night.
Through this, DDP Oullim Square will expand from a simple performance venue to an open cultural platform where citizens create and participate in content.
Now, everyone can become a performer at DDP Open Stage, breathing life into the stage alongside the audience.
