Hello everyone! After being swamped with handover tasks due to a department transfer, I'm finally back with some exciting news!

Today, I'm introducing the International Garden Show currently being held at Boramae Park in Seoul!

Mysterious View

This expo, a leading green festival in Seoul, started in 2015 as the Seoul Garden Show. It has been providing green spaces to citizens by creating gardens in public spaces throughout Seoul.

Basic Information:

Dates: May 22nd ~ October 20th

Address: 33, Yeouidaebang-ro 20-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul

Hours: Open 24 hours (booths close at 7 PM)

Public Transportation:

Subway: Boramae Park Station, Exit 1

Special Moment

Bus: Dongjak 05, 150, 505, etc.

Parking:

Parking Fee: (Approximately 78 parking spaces available)

Precious Memory

360 won per 5 minutes

14,000 won daily rate

09:00 ~ 22:00

In addition to the garden show, there's also a marketplace!

It features industry exhibitions and sales booths with garden-related plants, landscaping materials, garden furniture, outdoor furniture, and lifestyle brands.

Amazing Sight

As it's a park, many people were enjoying walks and runs, and many dog owners were out for a stroll with their furry friends, as the park is dog-friendly.

However, muzzles are required for aggressive dogs, and leashes and poop bags are a must!

Garden exhibitions include:

Artist Gardens: Gardens created by domestic and international artists (spaces with unique designs and stories)

Community Gardens: Exhibits of works by citizens and students

Hopeful Tomorrow

Artwork Gardens & Charm Gardens: Focused on the harmony of Seoul's various aspects: culture, nature, etc.

Programs include:

Docent tours where you walk with a guide who explains each garden.

Experiences include gardening experiences and florist workshops for children and families, and healing horticulture classes.

Dreamlike Moment

Sculptures are displayed throughout the park, making it perfect for picnics.

With lawns, shady trees, and plazas, you'll see many people relaxing and enjoying their leisure time on picnic blankets.

Even without a blanket, there are chairs and tables available for you to relax freely.

Notably, there are also works related to corporations, with Nongshim standing out.

A sculpture that makes you want to bring a Raccoon (Nongshim's Ramyun character) along!

Great Photo

There's a running course surrounding the lawn in the middle, and a path for people to walk on the outside.

Since the running course is only for one direction, you can't go against the flow.

So, if you want to look around, it's best to walk on the outer sidewalk instead of the running course.

The theme is Seoul, Green Soul - emphasizing the harmony of city and nature, and the lives of citizens.

You can feel the nature unfolding in the middle of the city.

Precious Memory

You can see various gardens created as works of art.

Each work has a description of the artist and the piece, so it was nice to easily understand the thoughts behind the creation.

There are several food trucks available where you can enjoy simple street food, snacks, and drinks.

Hopeful Tomorrow

If you come in the spring, you can see such a beautiful sight, but since it is not the season for flowers now, I couldn't see any flowers.

It's a great space with many plants and trees, perfect for a walk, especially at sunset or early in the morning.

The expression that Boramae Park has been reborn as a 'Citizen's Grand Garden' is no exaggeration.

It's a great place to visit with friends, family, or a significant other, and it's perfect for taking pictures and relaxing.

There is still a month left, so why not take a break from the worries of busy modern life and enjoy some healing time?
