Looking for recommendations for places to visit in Seoul?

Consider the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Seoul Design Week!

Seoul Design Week

DDP Area, 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Note: Specific program hours may vary)

While searching for exhibitions to see, I discovered Seoul Design Week.

A place where you can experience the trends of Seoul.

A place where Seoul's design insights reside.

It showcases the trends of Seoul, a global design city, through outstanding designs that embody the unique personality and delicate philosophy of domestic and international companies and designers.

This year's 'Seoul Design Week' aims to illuminate the present and future of the design industry through designs that have permeated everyday life, and to disseminate insights to the world.

Celebrating its 12th anniversary in 2025, <Seoul Design Week>, which has been ongoing since the opening of DDP in 2014!

From October 15th to 26th, for 12 days, it will showcase interesting design content such as the DDP Design Fair, conferences, exhibitions, and markets.

DDP Design Fair

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall 1, 2

October 15 (Wed) 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM

October 16 (Thu) - October 18 (Sat) 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

October 19 (Sun) 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

General Admission & On-site Purchase: 15,000 KRW

DDP Design Fair, in collaboration with 29CM, features popular brands.

This year's theme is 'Design, Designer, DesignLife', focusing on the impact and potential of design, centered around designers, on individuals' lives, industries, and urban culture as a whole.

In collaboration with Musinsa's 29CM, a total of 70 brands, including lifestyle brands with a clear design preference, participated.

While previous booth operations were centered around suppliers, this exhibition redefines the audience as life designers.

Visitors can explore brand exhibition halls according to their preferences, and a business venue where ideas, products, and capital from global companies, SMEs, manufacturers, and designers gather is created, allowing citizens to enjoy sophisticated designs and Seoul's trends.

Seoul Design Week focuses on the 'process' beyond the glamorous results.

This special exhibition provides an in-depth look into the creative processes of 12 of the best design studios, from idea sketches to traces of numerous failures.

All planned exhibitions are free to view, so be sure to explore them thoroughly and awaken your inner design!

There is also a 'Young Designer Special Exhibition' featuring collaborative exhibitions between students and companies such as Hongik University and Nongshim, Hanyang University and LG Electronics.

Seoul Design Week has already been recognized for its creativity with the main prize at the global 2024 Red Dot Design Award.

This year's Seoul Design Week will be deeper and richer than last year.
