Budget-Friendly Family Fun: Catching the Musical 'Codename X' at the National Museum of Korea

Last weekend, I finally got to see the musical 'Codename X' at the Yong Theater in the National Museum of Korea.

The theater interior was clean and comfortable, perfect for families. The seats are spacious, and they even provide cushions for children, so there were no visibility issues.

My child really loves the <Codename X> series.
They reach for the book first thing in the morning and prefer it over TV before bed.
I thought they would be even more engaged if they saw the performance, and I was right! They couldn't take their eyes off the stage once the musical started.
The scenes from the book came to life on stage, and the characters' lines were exactly the same.
My child excitedly whispered, "Mom, I just read this yesterday!" It was so cute.
After the show, we opened the book again at home.
My child read even more intently, pointing out which scenes were in the show.
In the end, the performance doubled the enjoyment of the book!

I ended up booking through Time Ticket. I was really happy because I got a 60% base discount + an additional 10,000 KRW off with the performance/exhibition coupon! Haha!
In the past, I didn't go to musicals often because I thought they were too expensive.
But these days, if you take advantage of government coupons or last-performance discounts, you can enjoy cultural activities once a month without feeling the pinch.
Plus, my child experienced such great emotion and delight, and I've noticed it positively impacting their reading habits.

After the show, we took a short stroll through the garden in front of the National Museum of Korea.

There's also a cafe inside the museum, so you can relax and have a coffee. The kids could talk about the show, and the adults could enjoy the aroma of the coffee. It was one of those days where you think, 'This was a really good idea!'
