Beginner Runner Selected as First Supporter! Summer Running Records Preparing for a Half Marathon

It's hard to believe that the sweltering summer of August 2025 has already passed.
September already? Time really flies, doesn't it?
In this post, I want to look back on my half marathon training journey as a beginner runner during the month of August, reflect on what I found lacking, and set new goals for September.
I also have some personally meaningful news to share with you all.
Table of Contents:
1. August Running Training Log
2. September Running Goals
3. Selected as POSYKO Supporters 1st Term
So, let's begin with the beginner runner's running training journal!
1. August Running Training Log
Summary of August training records from the Runday app:
Looking at my August records, I ran a total of 7 times, covering approximately 42km.
While writing my running logs for June and July, my original goal of running 3 times a week completely crumbled in August. ㅠㅠ
I always set goals at the start of a new month, but it's frustrating and disappointing that they never seem to come to fruition.
In fact, in August, the acute neck disc problem I experienced in June and July recurred, so I had to repeat injections and physical therapy several times.
I also had many busy days at work, with lots of overtime and weekend work.
As a result, running once again took a backseat.
I wanted to run at least 12 times, but I only managed 7, which is about half of my goal.
I'll have to try again for 3 runs a week in September.
August 31st: A day I was exhausted after only 4km
On Sunday, August 31st, the last day of August, I felt that the weather was getting a little cooler, so I went out around 3-4 pm.
I wanted to run a longer distance during the day, not at night, for the first time in a while, but I gave up after 4km. LOL
I repeated running, walking, and resting, and eventually walked home.
I had a similar experience in June when I collapsed while running during the day, so it felt like déjà vu.
The starting point before collapsing
I realized once again that I should never overexert myself during the hot summer months. Haha.
Still, can I consider it an achievement that I consistently put on my running shoes and went outside, even in these circumstances?
2. September Running Goals
2025 MBN Seoul Marathon Half Course Registration Completed
In the newly started month of September, I will aim for running 3 times a week, which I couldn't achieve in August!
Now that it's September, I can definitely feel that autumn is coming, with cool breezes blowing in the morning and evening.
The 2025 MBN Seoul Marathon is now about 2 months away, and I'm starting to feel a little anxious because I feel like I'm not training well enough.
My goal for this half marathon is to finish in the 2 hour and 10 minute range, but I'm not sure if I can achieve that with my current training.
There are still 2 months left, so I will work harder to achieve my half marathon PB record.
3. Selected as POSYKO Supporters 1st Term
But it wasn't all disappointments.
After becoming a sports influencer, I was selected for my first supporter program!
Final acceptance as POSYKO Supporters 1st Term!
The supporter program I was selected for is POSYKO Supporters, and this was their first recruitment for the '1st Term Supporters'.
A total of 10 people were selected, and I was thrilled to be selected for this newly established supporter program.
I'm not a fast runner, and when I first started running, I would get tired and walk after only 3km...
Now, I have completed 3 half marathons (only one within the time limit though...), and I'm setting a new half PB goal and challenging myself, which is even more motivating.
In particular, POSYKO is a brand specializing in the sports field, supporting many athletes, including professionals and national representatives, in various sports such as running, health, golf, and badminton, making it a more trustworthy brand.
I will be uploading photos and videos of my activities as a POSYKO supporter in the future, so please show a lot of interest!
Reflecting on my summer running records for August, there were many disappointments, but there were also good news such as being selected as a supporter.
In September, I will maintain a healthy body and strive to become a more developed beginner runner through consistent running.
Looking forward to the cooler weather, I'll be back in September with a more fruitful running log!
