Friday, September 19th

I went to the 2025 Suwon Jazz Festival.

This festival, now in its 10th year, is held over two days at the Jaeminan Bat (Fun Field) in Gwanggyo Lake Park.

Here's a review of my trip to the 2025 Suwon Jazz Festival yesterday, including the lineup, parking information, and essential items to bring.

It rained a lot, but many people came and enjoyed it.

It was a great experience, and I'm definitely planning to go again next year.

Suwon is a great place for a date or family outing, so be sure to check it out today if you can.

Valuable experience

Warm memories

Parking

You can park in Gwanggyo Lake Park Parking Lots 1, 2, and 3, but I recommend the

Happy Deul Public Parking Lot (4-minute walk).

The festival starts at 5:00 PM, and I arrived at 5:40 PM. I was worried there wouldn't be any parking spots, but there were plenty.

1 hour free

500 won per 10 minutes after that

10,000 won for all-day parking

I parked for 3 hours and 30 minutes in an eco-friendly car and received a 50% discount, paying only 750 won.

The directions were clear and easy to follow. It's a slight uphill walk, though! ㅎㅎ

Dreamlike moment

What to Bring

Zone 1: Picnic Zone / Zone 2: Camping Zone

Due to the rain, in Zone 1,

the front was designated as a picnic zone, and chairs were placed in the back for people to sit on.

There was also a tented seating area, but it was full.

They say it won't rain tonight, so

it would be nice to enjoy the picnic zone.

People who brought tables and chairs

usually set up their spots on either side or in Zone 2.

Was it because of the rain?

I thought it would be difficult to find a spot, but it was spacious, and I found a spot right away.

...But I could only stay there for 30 minutes.

Although you have the advantage of seeing the stage up close,

my knees and back hurt, and I wanted to lean back. Even though the stage wasn't as visible, the chairs in the back were much better.

2025 Suwon Jazz Festival - What to Bring

Outerwear / Picnic mat / Camping chair / Table

(In case of rain) Umbrella / Raincoat / Water-resistant shoes

The restrooms on both sides are portable toilets.

The restroom in the center is in a building.

The portable toilets were airplane-style, but they were clean, so there were no issues.

Impressive appearance

Participate in the satisfaction survey - Get a glow stick

Follow, tag, and post on Sujaepe Instagram - Get a coaster

They're also doing these events, so be sure to participate.

You can pick up your prizes at the event booth.

They were also providing raincoats here, which was great!

Food

The food stalls were run by local residents,

and I liked the reasonable prices.

Beer ₩5,000 / Bottled Water ₩1,000 / Soda ₩2,000

Chives Pancake ₩5,000 / Grilled Butter Squid ₩7,000 /

Sausage ₩3,000 / Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) ₩5,000

Sweet and Sour Chicken ₩5,000 / 2 Tacos ₩10,000

Cotton Candy ₩6,000 / French Fries ₩8,000

Steak ₩9,900 / Takoyaki, Sotteok-sotteok (Sausage and Rice Cake Skewers) ₩5,000

The churros (₩4,000) and crepes (₩7,000) seemed very popular.

Review

Bright future

<Jazz Vocalist Yangji>

<Bruce Katz Band>

<Lim Yong-hoon & Sambistas>

<Kim Yuna>

I've shared a vivid review of the 2025 Suwon Jazz Festival, including the lineup, parking, and what to bring.

Even though it rained, which was a shame,

the live jazz performances and festival atmosphere were really great.

It's a perfect festival representing Suwon for dates, family outings, or a casual get-together with friends,

so if you can't make it today, I highly recommend checking out the 2026 Suwon Jazz Festival next year!

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
