Hello from Carnation Nursing Home!

Located near Carnation Nursing Home, Ilsan's Giverny (Lake Park) is currently hosting the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival.

Let me introduce you to the beautiful Goyang Autumn Flower Festival at Ilsan Lake Park, where three generations – child, parents, and grandparents – enjoyed a weekend together.

What is the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival?

The Goyang Autumn Flower Festival is a signature flower festival held every autumn in Ilsan, where Lake Park is adorned with colorful flowers.

This year, seasonal flowers like chrysanthemums, pink muhly grass, and cosmos create numerous photo opportunities.

In addition to the flowers, there are family-friendly activity programs and shopping booths available.

Visiting Tips:

  • Location: Ilsan Lake Park
  • Parking: Available in the park parking lot (Recommended to use public transport on weekends due to congestion!)
  • Dates: September 19th - September 30th
  • Admission: Free!

There was plenty of parking available on Saturday at 4 PM!

European Vibes: Near Parking Lot 2 of Lake Park

The most impressive part of my visit was the walk from Parking Lot 2 to the festival grounds.

Autumn flowers were in full bloom on both sides, and the scenery overlooking the lake resembled the gardens of Giverny in France.

So beautiful! I really thought I was in Europe.

I was able to reminisce about our trip to France last year while walking hand-in-hand with my child, feeling the European ambiance.

It's a bit far from the festival grounds, but I highly recommend a visit!

Bring a picnic mat! I was envious of those relaxing and sitting down.

Lots of "K-DE Han" Concept Photo Zones!

This year's Goyang Autumn Flower Festival featured many photo zones decorated in the trendy "K-DE Han" concept.

The photos taken at the photo zones turned out great!

Dreamlike moment

The tiger and magpie from the Joseon Dynasty folk painting “Jakhodo” are really cute!

And even a *gat* (traditional Korean hat) photo zone!

Themed gardens were intricately decorated, making it great for taking photos.

Everywhere you look, flowers and sculptures blend together, making it the perfect place to capture the best pictures to post on social media.

I enjoyed the beautiful flowers to my heart's content.

Fun moment

Flower Train Ride with My Child

My child's favorite part was definitely the flower train!

Valuable experience

We rode a colorfully decorated flower train around Lake Park.

Riding along the flower path felt like traveling through a fairy tale. The flower train even blew bubbles.

My child said, "I want to ride it again!" which made me smile.

A fun place for three generations - parents, children, and grandparents.

If you want to experience a touch of Europe this fall without traveling far, I highly recommend the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival at Ilsan Lake Park, a Giverny close to home.

I captured great pictures in the "K-DE Han" concept photo zones, and had a wonderful time riding the flower train with my child, but above all, it was a warmer and more special day because I was with my child and grandfather.

My child is spending a happy time with grandfather.

This fall, I hope to spend more time with our beloved seniors and create flower-like memories with them.

Carnation Nursing Home will continue to provide healthy living information and news about the Ilsan Goyang area to seniors and their families.
