2025 Gyeongsan Gatbawi Wish Fulfillment Festival: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity

The Gyeongsan Gatbawi Wish Fulfillment Festival, a healing and participatory event that celebrates Gatbawi's wish-granting traditions by harmonizing traditional culture with modern performances, will be held from September 26th to 28th, 2025, at the Gatbawi Parking Lot and other locations.

The festival will take place simultaneously at the Gyeongsan Gatbawi Parking Lot and the Wachon-myeon Community Sports Field. At the Gatbawi Parking Lot, from September 26th (Friday) to 28th (Sunday), various traditional cultural experiences will be available, including a tea ceremony, temple stay programs (108 bows, prayer bead making, meditation, and tea ceremony), wish stone tower building, and silent meditation yoga.
At the Wachon-myeon Community Sports Field, on September 26th (Friday) and 27th (Saturday), a variety of programs will unfold, including an opening ceremony, a *jjijim* (Korean pancake) cooking competition among women's associations from various townships, and a wish concert.
Gatbawi Parking Lot (September 26-28, 3 days):
Traditional culture and healing programs including a tea ceremony, temple stay (108 bows, prayer bead making, meditation, tea ceremony), wish stone tower building, and silent meditation yoga will be offered.
Wachon-myeon Community Sports Field (September 26-27, 2 days):
Participatory programs including the opening ceremony, a *jjijim* cooking competition among women's associations from various townships, a wish concert, and performances by local singers will be held.
Ongoing: Local specialty product booths (Wachon plums, etc.), sales, experience, food truck, and food booths will be operating.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of Gyeongsan's specialties, including fresh Wachon plums, at the local specialty product booths.
Under the theme of '1387 Years of Prayer, My Universe Where My Dreams Come True,' the festival aims to be a grand celebration where citizens and tourists can make wishes and enjoy themselves together.
