1. Introduction to the Cafe near Ilwol Arboretum

It can be surprisingly difficult to find a large brunch spot with convenient parking near Yuljeon-dong. I was thrilled to discover this gem of a cafe near Ilwol Arboretum!

The cafe offers ample parking space right in front, making it stress-free to visit by car. Its large size and eye-catching mint-colored exterior make it easy to spot.

This is Three Monkeys. As you approach the entrance, you're greeted by the cafe's signature trio of adorable monkeys.

The "Three Monkeys" concept is inspired by the famous proverb: "See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil."

I love that this cafe aims to provide only sweet relaxation, which is a delightful motto!

The interior is spacious and well-designed, creating an open and airy atmosphere. I felt truly relaxed and refreshed during my visit.

The combination of mint, wood, and white tones is surprisingly beautiful. There are various seating options available, including tables for laptop users, group seating, and smaller meeting spaces, catering to everyone's needs.

2. The Unique Bonfire Terrace and a Friendly Dog

A mysterious appearance

One of the standout features of Three Monkeys is its terrace. It's pet-friendly and even offers the chance to enjoy a bonfire experience in the heart of the city!

Isn't it amazing to find a bonfire setting right here in Yuljeon-dong? They even sell everything you need, from instant noodles and aurora powder to sweet potatoes and firewood. It's the perfect spot for bonfire gazing, especially in the winter.

Another great perk is the resident dog, Sseumong. Be sure to read the posted guidelines before interacting with him.

Sseumong is a handsome Jindo dog who loves people. Pet owners can even let their dogs run and play together on the terrace!

3. Brunch Menu at Three Monkeys in Suwon Yuljeon-dong

I almost forgot to order while exploring the cafe! As befits a brunch cafe in Suwon Yuljeon-dong, they offer a variety of brunch options.

The prices are reasonable, making it a great option for a future brunch visit.

Since we had already eaten, we opted for simple drinks and desserts this time. Be sure to check out their drink menu!

There was a tempting array of desserts, including delicious-looking cakes, scones, and cookies. I spent a good while browsing!

This cafe is serious about tea. They have a wide selection of teas on the menu, complete with a scent bar where customers can sample the aromas.

Three Monkeys also sells wine, which would be perfect to enjoy by the bonfire!

They also offer complimentary flower tea daily. I tried some because the color was so pretty. The floral scent was lovely, and it had a pleasant sweet and slightly bitter taste that most people would enjoy.

Don't forget to leave a Naver review to receive a free cookie!

As you'd expect from the cafe's theme, there were many monkey-themed decorations. Although I'm not usually a big fan of monkeys, the Ilwol Arboretum cafe did a great job of creating adorable decorations, which made me want to buy some!

4. Tasting Notes from the Cafe near Ilwol Arboretum

On this visit, I ordered:

✔️Iced Americano

✔️Cafe Creme Brulee

✔️Fig Cake

The Cafe Creme Brulee was a perfect combination of creamy sweetness and rich coffee flavor. The caramelized sugar added a satisfying texture, making it a must-order again on my next visit!

An interesting image

Fig season is slowly starting. I enjoyed my first fig cake of the year at Ilwol Arboretum Cafe. The cake itself wasn't too sweet, allowing the fig flavor to shine. It paired perfectly with the slightly acidic Iced Americano.

5. Three Monkeys Even Has Cats!

This brunch cafe in Suwon Yuljeon-dong even has a kitten! While Sseumong guards the terrace, a baby cat was napping inside the cafe. I couldn't help but gaze at it for a long time because it was so adorable.

Hopeful Tomorrow

It's a socialized cat, so when we sat across from it, it climbed onto my friend's lap! Coffee and a cat? This was heaven for me!

Everyone at Three Monkeys looked happy and relaxed. Even the dog and cat seemed to be enjoying a peaceful rest, which made me love this cafe even more.

"Three Monkeys" near Ilwol Arboretum in Suwon Yuljeon-dong is a place where you can laugh, chat, eat, drink, and relax with loved ones.

It's a place where not only people, but also animals can find "rest" during their time at Three Monkeys.

I highly recommend it!
