Get ready for cuteness overload! The Sylvanian Families Cafe pop-up collaboration with Angel-in-us Coffee is happening in Hongdae!

Pop-Up Basic Information:

[Hours] Daily 07:00 - 22:00

The Sylvanian Cafe is located a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hongik University Station.

You'll know you've arrived when you see the Sylvanian Families stickers plastered on the exterior. Prepare for instant cuteness!

Sylvanian Cafe

Waiting & Seating (Weekends):

Visited around 3 PM on a weekend. Although the cafe is spacious, it was packed, and all the tables were full.

I wandered around for about 5 minutes, looking for someone leaving, and snagged their table.

There's no official waiting list, but be aware that finding a table might be tricky!

Interior Space (Photo Zones):

There are several photo zones available. If you love taking pictures, I highly recommend this place!

There are three main photo zones.

The first photo zone is at the entrance.

There are three large Sylvanian Families figure friends.

It's the perfect spot to sit next to the Sylvanians and take photos.

Photo Zone 1

I really want to take them home... They're so cute! There's also a mirror nearby, which is great for taking selfies.

The second photo zone is in front of the ordering area inside the cafe.

There are six dolls featuring the theme of this collaboration, "Baby Chef's Attic Cafe."

The chef outfits are so adorable! I wish they would just keep doing this theme...

Photo Zone 2

The third photo zone is tucked away in the left corner of the cafe.

This is actually the main photo zone.

There was a bit of a line here.

There are a total of 4 tables with Sylvanian Families friends seated at them.

It's clearly decorated for photos, so the pictures turn out great.

Photo Zone 3

Since it was crowded, I just took some quick snaps and left.

It seems like you'd need at least 20 minutes to take proper photos, especially on weekends.

It seems to take longer because only those who are serious about photos come.

Merchandise (MD):

They also sell merchandise. Although there might be a wait during busy times, I was able to enter right away.

The gift shop is a bit small.

Merchandise

All the really cute Sylvanian Friends are here.

Every kind of Sylvanian Friend you can imagine is available...

I wanted to buy one, but because I'm the kind of person who has to collect them all to be satisfied, I didn't even try, lol.

Just looking with my eyes...

The figures were generally in the 30,000 won range (Korean Won).

Some of the smaller items were in the 20,000 won range.

Figures

Aren't their shiny heads so cute?

Are they moles,,,? They really did a good job on the merchandise.

Limited Edition Baby Chef Figures:

There are six limited-edition Baby Chef figures.

When I visited, it was the Koala Baby Chef.

The Baby Chef figure available for purchase changes depending on the period, so I'll organize it into a table.

Period | Baby Chef Character

July 1st ~ 10th | Chocolate Rabbit

July 11th ~ 20th | Husky

July 21st ~ 30th | Walnut Squirrel

July 31st ~ August 9th | Persian Cat

August 10th ~ 19th | Koala

August 20th ~ 29th | Desert Fox

Baby Chefs

To purchase a Baby Chef figure, you need to buy one of two drinks specified by Angel-in-us.

Apple Berry Snow (6,700 won)

Vanilla Cream Mocha (6,500 won)

You must purchase one of these.

You can order the menu from the kiosk.

If you purchased a drink, take the receipt to the staff in front of the merchandise shop, not the counter.

The price of the limited-edition figure is 11,900 won, and there are only 200 available per day.

I visited around 3 PM, and there were quite a few left.

You can buy one figure per drink purchased.

Even if you don't buy the limited-edition figure, go anyway! ⭐

They give you a Baby Chef coaster.

It's made of thick paper, but it's cute, right?

The drink I ordered was the Apple Berry Snow.

It was like a refreshing peach smoothie.

It was really refreshing and perfect for summer.

It's a thirst-quenching and delicious flavor~

They also give you this cute paper pick.

Isn't it cute to put a Sylvanian pick in your drink?

Overall Review:

I'm not a huge Sylvanian fan, but I visited because it was so cute, and I really enjoyed it.

The cafe is cool and spacious, and there are several photo zones, so it's relatively easy to take pictures.

If you ever go to Hongdae, be sure to stop by. It's a place where you can truly relax!

The pop up is until August 31, so hurry up if you want to visit

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
