Sweet Escapes: My Top 7 Dessert Cafes in Yeonnam & Mangwon
Hello everyone! Today, I want to introduce you to some of my favorite dessert cafes in the Yeonnam neighborhood.
Why? Because delicious things deserve to be shared, and I want to enjoy them with all of you! ✨
First up is:
Their signature menu items all looked incredible, but since I'm very sensitive to caffeine, I opted for the chocolate latte.
(Caffeine and I are not friends...)
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but it tasted like Royce' chocolate – a rich, creamy, raw chocolate sensation, not your typical instant chocolate milk!
It was seriously delicious. 👍
The bathroom sink, even the sink was nice! (bathroom view)
So, that first cafe is: *Morning Calm Coffee Lab*
Their signature menu items all look so good! And the seating is spacious and comfortable!
Next on the list is !!! *Ziteunsan* (짙은산)!
A friend I hadn't seen in a while found this place. It's tucked away in a quieter part of Yeonnam.
(Peaceful, relaxed, and just lovely)
I think she mentioned it was a relatively new cafe.
The owner and staff are incredibly friendly!
Don't be mistaken; it's not a hiking club meet-up spot! This is in front of the cafe!
It has large, wide-open windows!
My friend ordered the Chestnut Affogato, and since I can't drink coffee, I went for the Lemon Cream Sherbet.
OMG?
It was SO delicious.
Just thinking about how to describe the taste is making my mouth water! 🤤
The lemon sherbet is refreshingly sweet, and the cream adds the perfect touch.
Pure perfection...
We also got the Fig Cream Cheese Cake, and even the dessert was amazing.
It was so good...
I loved it so much that I went again with Yoonchae, a friend I made while working together.
We didn't order cake this time.
(Because we were full from dinner...)
I ordered the same thing as before, and Yoonchae got what my friend had ordered on the first visit!
Yoonchae also seemed very satisfied!👍
I highly recommend this place!!!
The third place I'm introducing is one you might already know, as it's quite famous!
It's Antique Coffee.
My teacher, Mira, is a true foodie expert, so if she recommends a place, I trust her judgment completely and just follow along!
This is the place my teacher took me. The taste is great, and the visuals are amazing. It's a dessert paradise with a fantastic atmosphere!!!
If I have a friend who hasn't visited Yeonnam often, or if a friend is visiting from out of town,
I always bring them here.
Always.
I've been here over 10 times.
I've tried all the desserts here, and they're all delicious!!!
It's even better in the winter because you can take pictures with the Christmas tree!
During a recent visit, I picked the crème brûlée because it was a dessert I hadn't tried before and the visuals were new to me.
And it was, of course, incredibly delicious.
No need to say more about this place...
It's a bit pricey, but I can't help it...

The fourth place I'm introducing is actually in Mangwon...
But I wanted to share it anyway! hehe
The Vanilla Tart looked so good, so I ordered it, and because I shouldn't consume too much sugar,
I ordered tea,
And I thought Earl Grey would pair well with the dessert,
So, I ordered Earl Grey!
As soon as I ate the Vanilla Tart,
I was so surprised.
It was SO delicious.
But the disappointing thing was
I ordered it alone,
So I could only eat half of it... haha
It was too sweet, so after eating about half,
I couldn't eat anymore...
Be sure to order it with someone else.
Don't order it alone.
You absolutely won't be able to finish it!
Anyway, the dessert was really delicious!
The space felt a bit cramped.
The tables were close together!
But the dessert was delicious!!!
The fifth cafe I'm introducing is
!!!
A cafe I went to with my love, Hyunji!
The pancakes were just okay (?), but the ones we ordered were the original.
But the milk tea was amazing...
Seriously delicious!
However, there was a time limit, so
It might feel rushed for those who want to chat and enjoy dessert for a long time!
The sixth cafe I'm introducing is
A place I recently went to alone!
It's a cafe near Ziteunsan!
I can't rest except on Wednesdays these days... ㅠㅠ
And if I have work on Wednesdays,
I barely have any personal time anymore...
ㅠㅠㅠ
So, I wanted to go out alone on the weekend and spend some time,
So, I went to a cafe alone!
I wanted to eat dessert!
I ordered the 'Fig Raspberry Panna Cotta,'
And it was a truly unique dessert!
Pudding with raspberry puree,
Lotus cookies on top,
Sweet, tangy, and slightly sour,
With autumn fruit fig on top,
I ate it deliciously!
But this was also too sweet,
So I couldn't finish it ㅜㅜ
It's a bit expensive... haha
But it was worth trying at least once!
So ~~
This place is ~~!!!
It's not that big either,
But there's a terrace outside,
So it's perfect for enjoying the autumn weather these days!
I need to go to the terrace a lot before autumn is over!

The seventh cafe I'm introducing is
A place I went to with a friend who is 6 years younger than me!
That's my friend's doll; it's definitely not mine!
This place is: *Jaktangmooui* (작당모의)!
The desserts here are crazy...
So delicious!
They mainly had strawberry desserts,
And they were so, so delicious,
Highly recommended!
I'll continue to visit cafes I want to try and introduce them to you!
