Baekyeom Makchang, a new bar in Euljiro, is open daily from 5 PM to midnight (last order one hour before closing).

Located near Euljiro 3-ga Station, exit 11, it is easy to find thanks to its bright and clean signage.

As a fan of makchang (grilled intestines), I was excited to hear about this new spot. Before visiting, I found out that it is already famous for its long waiting lines!

Baekyeom Makchang specializes in Daegu-style makchang, which is marinated in salt for a tender and savory taste. They even make their own special sauce from ground soybeans.

1. Exterior

The bar is located in a cozy alley and has a bright, inviting sign, making it easy to spot.

2. Atmosphere

The interior is clean and has a lively atmosphere with round tables, perfect for enjoying a drink and some delicious food.

They age their makchang with a precisely blended salt, enhancing its natural sweetness and flavor while eliminating any unwanted odors.

The soy sauce made in-house adds another layer of flavor, making this a unique combination I hadn't seen before.

3. Menu

Ordering is done via QR codes at each table. A serving of Daegu makchang (180g) is priced at 17,000 KRW, with options for seasoned makchang, makchang sundae, and hot pot.

They also offer unique side dishes, including a tomato basil ramen that I can't wait to try on my next visit.

All the makchang is pre-cooked in the kitchen and grilled perfectly at your table by friendly staff, ensuring you get to enjoy it at its best.

After taking my first bite, I was impressed. The makchang was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with no unpleasant odors, just pure deliciousness.

I also ordered the seasoned makchang, which paired beautifully with the soybean sauce, creating a delightful balance of flavors.

To finish off, I had a refreshing bowl of kimchi noodles, perfectly cooked and served in a tangy broth.

Even though Baekyeom Makchang has only recently opened, it is already bustling with customers. The owner is incredibly friendly and passionate about serving great food.

If you're looking for a delicious and savory makchang experience, I highly recommend visiting Baekyeom Makchang!
