ManDong Bakery: A Must-Visit for Bread Lovers in Yeonnam-dong!

A bakery that bread lovers line up for!
Famous for its garlic baguette,
I visited ManDong Bakery in Yeonnam-dong!
My sibling recommended this place to me a while ago, saying it's a popular local spot. I first visited their Seongsu branch when it opened.
And last week, while visiting Hongdae and Yeonnam-dong, I finally stopped by the Yeonnam branch.
Why is ManDong Bakery so famous?
Starting from its main branch in Gangneung, ManDong Bakery's waiting lines and open-run craze are all thanks to their garlic baguette.
ManDong Bakery has become a staple on Seoul's bakery pilgrimage!
There are only three locations: Gangneung, Yeonnam, and Seongsu.
(This exclusivity makes it even more special!)
If you visit on the weekend or late in the day, they're usually sold out.
ManDong Bakery's Signature Garlic Baguette
Their #1 signature menu item is the garlic baguette, with garlic sauce soaked all the way inside the baguette.
The outside is coated with a sweet and sticky honey-like sauce, and the inside is soft and tender.
Highly recommended for those who love garlic, butter, oil, and sweetness!
Cappuccino Bread
If you love coffee, like me, you'll be satisfied with this cream bread.
It's a mix of coffee flavor, sweetness, and milk cream, with a completely soft texture.
Waiting & Visiting Time Tips
The Yeonnam branch isn't very spacious.
In-store dining is not available. If you're visiting on the weekend, go right after they open (11 AM), or if it's a weekday, visit in the morning or early afternoon when it's less crowded.
Popular menu items include the garlic baguette, cappuccino bread, and onion bagel.
(✔️ If you really want to buy them, you can make a pickup reservation on Naver.)

ManDong Bakery Purchase Tips
✔️ Garlic baguette, cappuccino bread, and onion bagels aren't displayed on the shelves. You need to tell the cashier how many you want when you pay, and they'll give them to you with the other bread.
✔️ For reservations of 5 or more of the same type of bread, you can order by phone at least two days in advance (02.6489.2334).
I previously tried the garlic baguette, cucumber baguette, and basil tomato at the Seongsu branch.
The basil tomato bagel (a combination of basil, cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and bagel) was delicious, and the signature garlic baguette was, of course, amazing.
The cucumber baguette might be polarizing because of the cucumber flavor, but the cream cheese inside is sweet,
so even kids who don't like cucumbers might enjoy it.
Tasting: Let's try the garlic baguette!
The shine and garlic aroma seem to leap out of the photo.
Chewy on the outside, moist on the inside, and sweet! ❤️
I also tried the cappuccino bread.
It has a rich coffee aroma and is the perfect snack when you need a sugar boost in the afternoon.
ManDong Bakery Yeonnam Branch, one of Seoul's must-visit bakeries.
The Seongsu branch felt more trendy, but the Yeonnam branch has the feel of a long-standing local favorite.
To buy all the bread you want, I recommend visiting a little earlier, and near the opening time on weekends.
It would be great to stop by and take out some bread when you visit Hongdae and Yeontral Park! ^^
