Le Cottee: A Chestnut Tart Delight in Gongju's Jemincheon Stream Area

Le Cottee Cafe in Gongju's Jemincheon Stream area is a must-visit, especially if you're a fan of chestnut tarts!
I originally visited Gongju to explore a charming little accessory shop, but I also wanted to check out the cafes along Jemincheon Stream. Among several options, Le Cottee caught my eye. I parked at the Jungdong Public Parking lot, which was conveniently close to the Gosari General Store. After visiting the store, it was a short walk to the cafe.
As I approached the Jemincheon Stream, I spotted the Le Cottee sign. Perfect! They had an outdoor terrace, but since it was a hot day, I decided to go inside. If I visit again in the spring or fall, relaxing on the terrace with one of Le Cottee's signature lattes would be perfect.

Inside, it was already quite busy around lunchtime. Many customers were enjoying drinks and conversations, so I couldn't take too many photos of the interior, but I really liked the atmosphere. They sell egg tarts and chestnut tarts, as well as a few other simple desserts, making it a great place to enjoy coffee and a treat.

I ended up getting a seat by the window. When I visit cafes alone, I usually try to find a single or two-person table. Even if there's a nice four-person table available, I tend to leave it for larger groups. (Am I considerate, even when traveling solo? Haha!)

I had my eye on another window seat, but someone was already sitting there, so I'll have to try for it next time.

I ordered an iced Americano and a chestnut tart. Gongju is famous for its chestnuts, so it seems like many places offer desserts using local chestnuts. I remember enjoying chestnut bread before, so I had to try the chestnut tart here!

My Ricoh GR3x is perfect for my solo trips! It's the camera I've been most satisfied with. I also bought a Fujifilm, but it didn't suit me as well. The Ricoh is always a great companion for solo travels or casual cafe visits.

I heard the lattes were delicious, but the coffee I had was great too. I recently went to a newly opened cafe and the coffee and dessert were terrible... I was surprised that places with bad coffee still exist... But here, both the dessert and coffee were satisfying! The chestnut tart was so good that I should probably get some to go next time. It's a close enough trip that I should visit Gongju more often. It's a great place to clear your head and enjoy a leisurely outing!

After a brief visit to Le Cottee, I headed back home to finish my remaining work! I wonder where I'll go next?!
