J.deling Yeosu
2nd floor, 13 Geobukseon Park 1-gil, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do
⏰ Open Daily: 10:00 - 22:00
Hello everyone!
Today, I'm excited to introduce J.deling Yeosu, a cake shop famous in Yeosu.
I was really impressed by their cakes, which are made with generous amounts of fresh fruit.
Let's dive into the J.deling experience!
Location
J.deling is located on the second floor. It's right next to Geobukseon Park, so it might be crowded on weekends. I visited on a weekday, so it was nice and relaxed.
Plus, I was able to park on the street nearby without any hassle.
It seems like they share the space with Yeosu News. When you open the gray door, you'll see the entrance to Yeosu News, followed by a light yellow hallway. Go through the door and turn right to enter J.deling.
Interior
Isn't the interior so cute? It's beautifully decorated with light yellow and pink tones, perfect for taking pretty pictures. I spent quite a while taking photos of my cake after picking it up!
They also sell adorable candles in the store, so you don't have to go out and buy them separately. And it seems like they provide regular candles upon request too!
There was one particularly cute candle that I had to photograph: "Life is about the momentum!!!"
They had a lot of cake pickups today. As expected of a popular cake shop, there were still plenty of cakes available even though I visited in the evening.
Signature Cake: Fresh Milk Strawberry - ₩38,000
I ordered the 'Fresh Milk Strawberry' cake, which is the most affordable of their signature cakes. You can also change the sponge to chocolate for an additional ₩1,500!
The font is so cute. Seeing the cake, I think a custom-made cake would be adorable too. I checked out their custom cakes on Instagram, and there were so many cute designs. I think they can probably create almost any design you want.
They told me in advance that the strawberries might be small because it's summer, but there were still plenty on top of the cake, so it was fine. And when I ate it at home, the strawberries were fresh.
They mentioned that the whipped cream is made with 100% milk, and it was so delicious. I don't really like plain milk, but this whipped cream didn't have any of the milky aftertaste or greasiness that I usually dislike; it was savory and rich!
This is a photo I took at home. I think the photos I took at the store are prettier though!
There was plenty of strawberry jam and whipped cream inside, and the sponge was moist and delicious. I only intended to eat one slice since it was late, but I failed; I couldn't resist!
I was worried that the whipped cream would lose its flavor if I put it in the fridge, but it tasted just as good the next day. I stored the cake using a method I saw on YouTube, and the cake kept its shape perfectly.
Try storing your cakes with the lid placed under the cake!
The atmosphere of the store was so cute, and the handwritten message on the cake was adorable too. If you're looking for a trendy and Instagrammable cake shop, I highly recommend J.deling!
Thank you for reading today. Have a sweet day with a delicious cake!
