I met up with my cousin Jihee to share my wedding news and catch up. She told me about their household rule: whoever goes out and comes back buys something delicious from a nearby restaurant for everyone to share.
I thought it was a cute and heartwarming tradition! That's how I ended up searching for this salt bread place called Jayeondo.
I found it using a map, but what initially caught my attention was...
First, there was a long queue of people.
But even more so, the incredible aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air.
It felt like I was already savoring the bread just from the scent!
You order here via a kiosk, and their menu is exclusively salt bread. Only a pack of 4 salt breads!
It was clear that they were fully committed to perfecting just one thing: their salt bread.
My cousin bought me a pack to share with my fiancé. I was so excited because the aroma was already amazing!
There was a message written on the bag.
But honestly, I was so captivated by the smell that I couldn't focus on anything else!
I rushed home with only one thought: I have to eat this salt bread!
At home, I noticed a label on the string tying the bag.
100 ingredients, 1000 baking tests!
The dedication is remarkable.
Opening the bag revealed four cute, clustered salt breads.
And of course, the buttery aroma hit me immediately, making it impossible not to expect something delicious.
As soon as I got home and washed up, I took a bite.
Just as I expected, the buttery flavor was intense.
Some salt breads are just salty, but this one was a soft bread with a hint of saltiness.
If you love fragrant and soft salt bread, you should definitely visit this place.
I'll definitely be back for more . .
