Exploring Move Move Cafe in Seongsu: A Tiramisu Delight

Hello! My name is Jojanggeum, and I hold certifications in Korean, Western, and Chinese cuisine. I am currently in my second week as an office worker in Seongsu. Recently, I've been enjoying the thrill of discovering delicious dessert spots during my lunch breaks. Today, I would like to introduce you to Move Move Cafe, a well-known tiramisu place in Seongsu-dong.
Move Move Cafe is conveniently located near Exit 5 of Ttukseom Station and Exit 4 of Seongsu Station. Please note that they do not offer underground parking!
For parking, I recommend using the SK Technobuilding (55 Seongsu-il-ro, Seongdong-gu), where you can park for 600 won every 10 minutes, making it one of the most affordable options in the area.
1. Basic Information
Business Name: Move Move Seongsu
Address: 56 Seongsu-il-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul
Operating Hours: Mon-Fri 08:00-22:00, Sat 12:00-22:00, Sun 12:00-21:00
2. The Venue
The cafe features a separate terrace outside! Although it might be too cold to sit there now, I can imagine many people enjoying delicious desserts and coffee on sunny days.
The interior is spacious and open, with stylish background music playing. A beam projector displays snowy landscapes on one side of the cafe.
Every corner showcases tasteful decor and lighting. They also sell merchandise, adding to the fun of browsing around.
For larger groups, there are wide tables that are perfect for working on laptops or reading. Each table has storage space underneath for convenience.
The cafe's aesthetic is impressive, reflecting the digital age's influence in an offline setting. It’s a space that allows you to experience new desserts and beverages in a stylish environment.
If you're looking for a place in Seongsu to enjoy delicious desserts and tiramisu, I highly recommend this cafe.
3. Menu and Beverages
The menu at Move Move Cafe features the famous tiramisu, including matcha tiramisu and signature strawberry tiramisu. Other delightful desserts include the savory-sweet hamon tiramisu, along with sweet chocolate croffles and injeolmi croffles, offering a wide selection.
You can also choose your coffee beans when ordering. Options include a house blend with nutty dark chocolate notes, Geisha citrus for a refreshing acidity, and a well-balanced decaf.
The coffee menu is extensive, featuring Americano, cold brew, café latte, and various specialty drinks. For non-coffee options, there are matcha lattes, chocolate lattes, milk tea, melon soda, and more.
I ordered the signature strawberry tiramisu, Nutella café mocha, and matcha latte, and I was excited to enjoy desserts in a cozy atmosphere.
On weekends, there may be a wait, but each drink is beautifully presented, showcasing the cafe's attention to detail.
The latte art included hearts and leaves, allowing me to appreciate the smooth and warm flavors of the latte. The sweet and aromatic Nutella café mocha and the rich bitterness of the matcha latte were both delightful.
Next came the highly anticipated signature strawberry tiramisu! A whole fresh strawberry topped the dessert, served cupcake-style, making it easy to enjoy with a spoon.
The rich espresso flavor combined perfectly with the creamy mascarpone, and there were even hints of strawberry jam throughout.
The balance of coffee's bitterness and the cream's sweetness, topped with cocoa powder, provided a deep chocolate-like flavor.
With each bite, the stress from adjusting to a new workplace melted away. It was not just a sweet dessert but an elegant blend of coffee and cream.
