Desert Cafe: A Stunning Han River View & Delicious Bakery in Namyangju

Hello, it's your diligent friend, Mandeuk!
A few days ago, after having dinner with my mom in Hanam, we visited Desert, a new cafe in Namyangju.
Opened in November last year, it's already gaining popularity. Even on a weekday afternoon, it was quite crowded.
It's one of the largest bakery cafes in the Paldang area, boasting a fantastic Han River view, making it perfect for families or couples.
Here's my review of Desert!

1. Location and Parking
✔️Desert is located on Namyangju's Paldang Cafe Street, making it easy to find. It's more convenient to travel by car than by public transportation.
It's near Namyangju Han River Park (Sampa Park) and many restaurants, making it a great stop on a day trip.
Store Entrance
✔️There's ample parking space in front of and behind the building, as well as in a separate area, so you don't have to worry about parking. However, it can be a bit crowded on weekends. (We visited on a weekday!)

2. Floor Guide (Interior Atmosphere)
The cafe has three floors, each with high ceilings, making the interior feel very spacious and airy. We ordered drinks and bread on the first floor! As expected from a bakery, there was a wide variety of baked goods that immediately caught my eye.
Order / Bakery
1st Floor: Order / Bakery
2nd Floor: Main Cafe Area
3rd Floor: Terrace / Roastery
We took our order up to the main area on the second floor. The stunning Han River view immediately caught our eye. Many people were sitting by the windows to enjoy the view! Luckily, there was a window seat available, so we also enjoyed the Han River view.
????TIP
Since the ceilings are high, it seemed safer to use the elevator to go up! There were even tables inside the elevator, making it easier to move with a heavy tray.
2nd Floor Main Area
The 3rd floor terrace has a rooftop feel, with a covered structure that would be great even when the weather isn't good. It was too hot to use it yet, but when the weather cools down, it would be the perfect place to have a cup of coffee!

3. Menu
Desert isn't just a cafe with a nice view; it's also a dessert restaurant with a wide variety of baked goods and drinks. In particular, there are three types of coffee beans, including decaf, so you can choose according to your preference, and you can also purchase the beans.
In addition to various coffees, you can order a wide variety of drinks such as ades, smoothies, teas, ice cream, and shaved ice, as well as beer and cocktails. (It's open until 12 AM, so it's a great place to have a simple beer.)

4. Taste Review
Ordered Menu
1️⃣Iced Vanilla Bean White (Decaf)
2️⃣Hot Grapefruit Plum Tea
3️⃣White Roll / Mocha Salt Bread
Many large cafes in the Paldang area have a great view, but the taste is often disappointing. But Desert was different. The Han River view was really great, and the coffee (drinks) and bakery were all of high quality!
The Iced Vanilla Bean White was decaf, but it had a deep and rich flavor. Usually, when you order decaf, it becomes very light, so the flavor disappears.
My mom ordered the hot Grapefruit Plum Tea. The sweet plum base with the subtle grapefruit was charming.
The White Roll and Mocha Salt Bread, which we ordered as bakery items, went well with the coffee and drinks, so I think we finished our meal with a great dessert!
My mom liked it, so it was a pretty rewarding date.😊
