Busandang is a Must!
Hello, I'm MinslMinsl!
My colleague is going on summer vacation and when I asked where they were going, they said they were going to Daejeon for a bread pilgrimage. Of course, it will be delicious, but is it really worth going all the way there in this heat? Being a Busan native, I know people from other cities come to my neighborhood to travel, so I told them about Busandang, a local bakery recommended by a true local. Have you been there yet?

Located across from Busan Station, this place is a rebranded version of the 43-year-old Baekjo Confectionery. Perhaps that's why it's filled with Busan's unique sensibilities. If you're someone who's been on a bread pilgrimage, you absolutely have to visit this place. The #1 seller is the Golden Red Bean Bread, but I personally prefer the Pork and Rice Soup Croquette. If you're ready to splurge on all kinds of breads, let's challenge ourselves to conquer this Busan bread 맛집!
Bread Baking Times

9 AM > Bread, Morning Bread, Pretzels, Ciabatta, Focaccia
10 AM > Pastries, Baguettes, Campagne
11 AM > Hard Rolls, Sandwiches
Please note that the baking times may vary slightly depending on the dough made on the day.
Regular Bread Sharing for Love
This place regularly shares bread for love every month, continuing a warm connection with the local community. It also captures the various emotions of my hometown in retro packaging, so if you're looking for a travel souvenir, it's best to choose a meaningful gift from a good company!
When I visited, there was an opening event with a limited quantity of croissants for 1,000 won. I couldn't resist!
Signature Menu
Jaggalchi Squid Ink Pie, Mentaiko Baguette, and Busan Pork and Rice Soup Croquette. These three are a must!
Besides that, there are so many signature items that I'd recommend trying a variety. You don't just go to Seongsimdang and buy Soboro bread, right? Or just the Meari bread?
Every time I go, my eyes widen and I fill my basket to the brim. This greed is an instinct for bread lovers!
Busandang doesn't have parking, so I told my husband to drive around while I quickly grabbed the bread and hopped in the car. It's a shame there's no parking or seating, but I was relieved that there was still bread left.
They might be sold out if you go late! I live here, but even if you're just visiting, there's a variety of unique breads that are perfect as travel souvenirs. I highly recommend adding Busandang to your last course; you won't regret it.
Busan Mackerel?!
You might be wondering about the Busan Mackerel Burger. Mackerel is the city fish of Busan, and did you know that 95% of Korea's catch comes from Busan? They created a menu full of identity using unique local specialties, and the taste was better than expected.
Especially the Jaggalchi Squid Ink Pie, which contains real red bean paste that's not too sweet, is really delicious! I'm addicted to red bean bingsu gelato these days, but this is even better.
The fluffy potato flavor is perfectly captured, making it a great match with milk. I added this to my tray too.
From canelé to madeleines and pies, there's a really diverse selection of breads that would go well with coffee at this Busan bread 맛집. I wanted to try everything, but I carefully selected only 3.
It's a store where you can use the Civil Recovery Consumption Coupon, so I'm going to go bread shopping again as soon as the additional payment comes in!
Busandang, a bakery that captures Busanfeelings. While it is delicious, they also consistently participate in social donations and use various local specialties to promote my hometown. It's a space where I feel a sense of patriotism and affection for my hometown.
Most of the customers lining up to order are travelers, but there are also many local residents. As someone who lives here and loves hotspots, I hope you'll stop by at least once.
Seongsimdang in Daejeon, Busandang in Busan
My bag was overflowing with bread, but I wasn't the only one!
If you're a traveler visiting the train station, it's located in a place that you're bound to pass by, and it's easy to find. It's great for picking out travel souvenirs, and the taste is also good, so I hope you'll slowly look around and splurge at this Busan bread 맛집.
