A Sweet Escape: Discovering Bricksand, a Yeouido Dessert Gem

I believe everyone has a favorite dessert. My wife and I are particularly fond of financiers. We love the slightly crispy exterior, the moist and sweet interior, and the comforting feeling it gives when it envelops your mouth. We often find ourselves buying them.
Especially this time, I wanted to give my wife a small gift, so I searched for a special financier and headed to Bricksand, a well-known dessert spot in Yeouido.
Bricksand is a dessert cafe with a charming and trendy design that evokes bricks, as the name suggests. The exterior immediately caught my eye, and the interior was decorated with a sentimental atmosphere, making it more than just a place to buy desserts; it was a space where you could relax and enjoy.
Bricksand is especially great for those looking for gifts, as it offers a variety of package options.
Inside the store, there was an interesting story about financiers on display. I learned a lot of new things, which was fun. From the origin of the name to the method of making it, everything was briefly introduced. It felt like more than just eating a dessert; there were many interesting elements that made it feel like a 'culture'.
As expected of a famous dessert place in Yeouido, the presentation that showed affection for the desserts was impressive.
Financiers were available in various configurations, and I chose two: an 8-piece and a 12-piece set. The 12-piece set was perfect for sharing with my family at home, and I decided to give the 8-piece set to my wife, who loves financiers.
The options were divided into a chocolate-topped type and an original version, and the gift box was so sophisticated that I thought the recipient would be happy. Especially if you are looking for a dessert for a gift, I thought there would be no better choice.
The 8-piece set I gave to my wife included chocolate toppings and a variety of brick flavors. The funny brick names stood out in particular. The brick design itself was so cute and unique that it was a dessert that made the recipient feel good enough.
As soon as my wife received it, she immediately asked, "Wow, what is this?" so there was no need to talk about her satisfaction.
The bricks that I personally remembered most impressively were the three with chocolate toppings. The first was 'Sweet Brick', full of salted caramel flavor, the second was 'Ruby Brick', with a refreshing and sweet raspberry flavor, and the last was 'Matcha Brick', which had a strong flavor of Jeju matcha.
Each had a distinct personality, and the balance felt good in my mouth, so it was a taste that I kept thinking about. It was the best of the best among Yeouido dessert restaurants.
Bricksand doesn't just have desserts. The coffee is also run quite seriously. The quality of the beans is good, and there are sets prepared to be paired with various desserts.
There were also menus such as 'Among Brick' and 'Haze Brick' that used Jirisan natural honey and salt in roasting, and the crispy texture and sweet and salty harmony were excellent. The set configuration where you can enjoy beans and bricks together is a satisfying choice not only for gifts but also for eating directly.
Above all, store accessibility is really good. Most people looking for dessert restaurants in Yeouido will move based on The Hyundai Seoul or IFC Mall, but Bricksand is right next to IFC Mall, so it's easy to find and it's in a location that's easy to stop by for a while. There are a few more people on weekends, but it was nice that brick purchases proceeded relatively quickly.
Currently, Bricksand has stores in various locations in Seoul, including Yeouido, Seoul Station, Myeongdong, Gangnam Station, and Seongsu. There are also stores in the Gyeonggi area, so accessibility is the best. Even if you don't have to go all the way to Yeouido, I felt that it was a brand with more expandability than a dessert restaurant in Yeouido in that you can enjoy this special dessert anytime by visiting a nearby store.
You can experience it anywhere, so if you don't know Bricksand yet, I highly recommend you try it once.
