A Memorable Weekend in Seoul

Thanks to my husband taking a rare Saturday off, we visited the Han River Park in Mangwon and stopped by Starbucks.
Despite our early arrival due to a packed schedule, the place was still bustling with people.
We ended up spending over 30,000 won for breakfast, which made me question if it was worth it. However, the ambiance and relaxation were necessary, and we had a delightful time.
⚠️ If you want a leisurely experience at the Han River Starbucks, getting there right when it opens is the key!
Since we were already at Mangwon Park, we decided to drop by Mangwon Market and enjoy a bowl of Kalguksu at Hongdukkye Kalguksu.
Next, we headed to the area known for the three major bakeries in Mangwon: Ugly Bakery, Huwa Huwa, and Neighboring House Tongtong.
Interestingly, Neighboring House Tongtong had no customers at all.
Meanwhile, Ugly Bakery and Huwa Huwa were packed, with long waiting times extending into the evening.
Curious about why there were so few people at Tongtong, I went inside, only to find the prices quite high. A Dubai-style chewy bread was around 8,000 won...
The bread prices are outrageous!
Nevertheless, since we were already there, we couldn't leave without buying something.
We took a photo with our purchases and tried the bread. It wasn't bad, but given the price, I was satisfied with just the experience!
After that, we headed to Gwanghwamun to visit the exhibition titled "From Renaissance to Impressionism." My daughter, Elise, recognized many of the artworks on display, which made the exhibition even more enjoyable for her.
After the exhibition, Elise suddenly expressed a desire to visit a library, so we went to the Seoul Education Office Children's Library, where she read her favorite books to her heart's content.
Though she's a bookworm, her taste remains quite juvenile!
Since it was a rare outing, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in Myeongdong.
We also checked out the media facade at Shinsegae Department Store, which is a must-see this season, wrapping up a fulfilling day.
As a bonus, I collapsed as soon as we got home!
After an eventful weekend, a wonderfully peaceful weekday arrived.
I spent some leisurely time at a new café in the neighborhood with friends.
This feels like one of the luxuries of being a full-time mom. I sometimes wonder how I managed to juggle work and parenting so intensely.
Can I really return to work? It's a bit daunting... Starting a career again feels scary, but I guess I'll manage when the time comes.
When Elise becomes a middle schooler, I feel like I really will have to go back to work, and that thought is overwhelming.
Oh, what is this feeling of being lost?
Seeing Elise's study materials only adds to my anxiety.
Get it together, daughter! Elise does well with literature, but the problem is that poetry always seems to rain down on us.
Poetry is indeed challenging, but how long will it remain so?
There’s an abundance of educational content available, but I still feel unprepared to absorb it.
Parenting is not something to do alone, yet my partner has gone off on his own adventure.
Feeling the need for a change of scenery, I decided to accompany him to Gimpo Airport under the guise of seeing him off.
On the way back, I successfully ordered the Cinnamon Roll cake that Elise wanted so badly, wrapping up the week with little joys.
