Cafe Sophora is nestled on a gentle hillside path along Deoksugung Stone Wall Road in Jeong-dong.
It's located within the Jeongdeokwon building, which was once part of the old Gyeongungung Palace grounds.
The cafe takes its name from 'Sophora,' the scientific name of the Chinese scholar tree, traditionally planted in groups of three in the courtyards of palaces and noble residences.
This is a multi-faceted cultural space combining a gallery, rental space for events, and a cafe.
