A Healthy Brunch Date at Brunch Nine in Magok

I couldn't believe D-100 (days until the wedding) came so quickly! It feels like it's just around the corner...
So, my partner and I are diligently dieting in our own ways. I'm focusing on diet and minimizing exercise, while my partner is balancing both diet and exercise.
I guess the answer truly is to combine diet and exercise. I feel like I've lost some weight (not really), but my health is definitely suffering.
Always diet healthily, eating moderately and exercising moderately. Once I recover, I'm planning to at least do some cardio. Right now, I'm practically a walking hospital. An old friend gave me that nickname years ago, and after a long break, it's back...ㅠㅠ (Maybe it's an age thing...?)
Anyway, due to the issues above, my partner and I are trying to eat healthier on weekends. This weekend, we went on a brunch date!
After dating for N years, we finally had the chance to go to a brunch cafe, something we'd never done before.
We often visit the Magok, Balsan, and Magoknaru area since it's near the wedding hall and not too far from home. But we never knew this cafe existed!
Location:
5-minute walk (308m) from Magok Station (Line 5, Exit 4)
15-minute walk (958m) from Magoknaru Station (Line 9/Airport Railroad, Exit 4)
Hours:
Weekdays/Weekends 10:00 - 21:00
(Last Order 20:00 // Tuesdays only: 10:00 - 16:00)
Parking:
Available at the 'Queen's Park' building.
1 hour and 15 minutes of free parking with cafe purchase (up to 2 vehicles)
My awesome driver partner drove us to Magok! 😊
The parking lot was spacious, so parking was easy. We took the elevator to the 1st floor!
We went through the back entrance since we came from the parking lot. (I actually saw the front entrance on the way home in the car...hehe)
As soon as we entered, a staff member guided us and told us to sit wherever we wanted, so we chose a spot near the door.
It was packed with couples on dates, probably because it was the weekend.
Looking at the menu after we sat down... wow! There were so many options! They even had separate food and drink menus!
I wanted to order everything, but since we're trying to diet, we decided on just two dishes and tea.

You can order at the counter! We ordered Brunch Nine's hit menu item, the French Toast (16,900 KRW), and their signature dish, the Duryu Pork Steak (16,900 KRW).
Duryu Pork Steak is said to be made with one of the world's top 3 porks! Also, there were many handmade syrups at the counter. I need to try the drinks with syrup next time.
We ordered Chamomile and Peppermint iced tea in L sizes.
The food came out after waiting about 10-15 minutes, and they served it directly to our table! ✨
The French Toast included:
French toast, black olives, blueberries, beets,
radicchio, lettuce, bacon, half a sausage, scrambled eggs, baked beans with special sauce, and banana brulee.
Personally, I really loved the banana brulee... I can't forget that crispy coating and the combination with the banana ✨
The Duryu Pork Steak came with:
Not just the steak, but also black rice, napa cabbage,
mini carrots...?
grilled garlic, butternut squash, and wasabi! ~~
Oh, and there were grilled mushrooms on top of the steak! Pickles came with it too!
My partner and I ate the lettuce salad first and then tried the steak. It was so delicious... so tender and not too strong tasting. I can't forget that taste...
It was so delicious after the first bite that I put wasabi on it and ate it with the grilled garlic...
😭‼️ Tears of joy ㅠ
If you visit, please order the Duryu Pork Steak!
So the two picky eaters left the carrots, napa cabbage, and beets...
But we ate everything else! 😊
If you visit the Magok area, I highly recommend Brunch Nine! ⭐👍
