Went to Seoul with my parents and Aunt Eunhee! Took a vacation day and had a wonderful time.

Before heading back, I made sure to visit a bakery I'd been wanting to try: Munhwa Bakery!

Munhwa Bakery

Operating Hours:

Monday - Saturday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Closed Sundays)

Closes when bread is sold out

Location: 1st Floor, 65 Donhwamun-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul

(5-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga Station)

It's about a 5-minute walk straight from Jongno 3-ga Station, and you'll find Munhwa Bakery, an Ikseon-dong bakery with a traditional Korean Hanok vibe.

Interesting image

I was watching Running Man, and it came up as a famous bakery where Ji Suk-jin and Yoo Jae-suk ate bread while passing by. I was so happy to see it and had wanted to visit!

I was a little sad that they weren't filming Running Man today.

Munhwa Bakery has 15 delicious types of bread available.

Peaceful scenery

They had Injeolmi bread, peanut bread, mugwort rice cake bread, milk cream cheese bread, and so many other tasty treats!

I bought an onion bagel (₩5,500), coffee bread (₩5,500), and garlic bread (₩6,500).

Hopeful tomorrow

Since it's nearby when you go to Ikseon-dong, it's definitely a bakery worth visiting!

Ah, I was so curious about the onion bagel, and the aroma was amazing! I love bagels, so I had to get it.

Amazing sight

It was big and filling, and the onion cream filling had a strong onion flavor. It was chewy and a bagel that would definitely appeal to Korean tastes!

The coffee bread was filled with coffee cream, and the bread itself had a crumbly texture and was soft to eat. It went really well with coffee or milk. It was so delicious that I regret not buying a few more!

Amazing sight

You know garlic bread is always a good choice. And because we're Korean, we love garlic! The more garlic, the better!

Great photo

The baguette bread had plenty of garlic sauce, and the inside was moist while the outside had the slightly crispy texture of a baguette. I highly recommend the garlic bread too!

Munhwa Bakery is a bakery with a wide variety of delicious breads. I only tried a few of the popular and appealing ones, but I'll have to buy a lot more next time!

Touching scene

They kindly asked if I wanted the breads cut, so I requested it, and they cut them nicely for easy eating. ^,^

They packed it nicely in a paper bag. I bought this and went to get a caricature drawn nearby, and the owners there knew about the bakery and said it was delicious! It really is a famous bakery!

Beautiful scenery

If you go to Jongno or Ikseon-dong, I highly recommend this bakery as a must-visit!

Happy time

Munhwa Bakery in Ikseon-dong is perfect as a gift or a simple snack at home!
