When winter arrives in Ulsan, one must-visit outdoor skating rink is the Munsoo Ice Rink.
This venue not only offers ice skating but also has a sledding area, making it a perfect spot for kids to have fun!
Even in the cold winter, we had such a great time that we ended up sweating!
Here’s my review of the Munsoo Ice Rink.
Located in Ulsan's Nam-gu, at 1218-3 Okdong, the Munsoo Ice Rink is easily accessible within the Ulsan Sports Park.

Operating Hours: 10:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Parking: The closest parking is at the Munsoo World Cup Stadium.
Parking fees are free on weekdays and paid on weekends (500 KRW for the first 30 minutes, 200 KRW for every additional 10 minutes).
Reservations are required as the rink operates in 1.5-hour sessions. The first session is from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a 30-minute ice maintenance break. On weekdays, there are five sessions, and on weekends, there are six sessions.
The entry fee is 3,000 KRW, which includes both the skating rink access and equipment rental, making it quite affordable.
There are also rental aids available for beginners. The ice sledding and snow sledding areas also charge 3,000 KRW each, but discounts apply if you use them together.
For safety, wearing a helmet and gloves is mandatory. Helmets are available for free, and gloves can be rented for 1,000 KRW if you don’t bring your own.
Next to the ticket booth, there is a rental station. Show your ticket and mention your shoe size to get your skates.
You can choose skate sizes in 10mm increments.
There’s also a place to change into your skates right in front of the rental station, complete with benches and a stand heater to warm up.
Once you’re ready, it’s time to hit the ice! The rink has a designated direction to avoid collisions, and safety personnel are present to ensure a secure skating experience.
Feel the thrill of gliding on ice and enjoy the refreshing breeze as you pick up speed! Even if you fall, laughter fills the air.
Thanks to bright lighting, night skating is also a delightful experience.
The rink has a snack bar offering ramen and other light refreshments to refuel after skating.
There are tables inside and outside for you to sit and enjoy your food comfortably.
The ice sledding area allows one guardian to accompany each child for free since the guardian must pull the sled.
The snow sledding area features tubes that you ride down a slope, providing exhilarating speed and fun!
At only 3,000 KRW, the Munsoo Ice Rink offers an affordable winter outing for families.
