The Unyang Service Area, located on the Gyeongbu Expressway towards Seoul, captivates visitors with its unique interior design.
The name 'Unyang Service Area' is derived from Unyang-eup, a sub-administrative district in Ulsan's Ulju County.
Originally, there was also a direction towards Busan, but it was closed and replaced by the Tongdosa Service Area.
With the expansion of the Unyang-Yeongcheon section, a rest area was created on the site, and around the same time, a new building for the Seoul direction was constructed.
The service area features restrooms, customer lounges, convenience stores, and restaurants.
Notably, the restrooms are adorned with artwork, setting them apart from typical service area facilities.
