Festival Visit Overview

Hello, I am Hong Soo-kyung from the Ulsan Blog Reporter Group.

Today, I would like to share my experience at the Ulsan Jung-gu Seongnam-dong Snow Flower Festival, which took place last year in 2025.

While many have already shared detailed reviews about the festive atmosphere and performances, I want to focus on the food this time.

The excitement of the year-end seems to come from such winter festivals. Last year, I noticed many Christmas trees around Ulsan.

At the Seongnam-dong Snow Flower Festival, visitors could enjoy numerous trees, and the large central tree even produced artificial snow, making it a delightful experience for families, couples, and children.

Festival Information

2025 Seongnam-dong Snow Flower Festival Information

Duration: December 24 – 28, 2025 (5 days)

Location: Ulsan Seongnam-dong Youth Street to Culture Street

Admission: Free

This year marked the 19th Seongnam-dong Snow Flower Festival, where various foods were available in one place, creating a winter night market vibe.

Street Food Highlights

The first booth that caught my eye was the strawberry mochi stand! The large strawberry mochi was a perfect winter festival dessert and was popular among both kids and adults.

Next was the kebab booth operated by real Turkish vendors. The sight of meat being grilled drew in passersby effortlessly.

I bought Turkish ice cream with my nephew, and the playful performance of teasing us before handing over the ice cream made for a memorable family moment.

There was also a booth selling various types of fried shrimp, which attracted many with its crispy appearance and aroma, surprisingly popular among children.

Other booths featured takoyaki, so-tteok-so-tteok, old-fashioned hot dogs, and dalgona, all made with care.

So-tteok-so-tteok remains a bestseller among kids, proving to be a popular choice!

Classic Winter Snacks

No festival is complete without street food! We enjoyed spicy tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, and fish cakes all in one place.

On that particularly cold day, the warm fish cakes were especially popular.

We also found butter-grilled squid, a must-have at the movies, available at the Snow Flower Festival! This portable snack was a hit among adult visitors.

Hearty Favorites and Family Fun

The chicken gangjeong booth, offering sweet and spicy options, was eye-catching. Many groups of friends shared this dish.

Deliciously grilled chicken skewers with a torched smoky flavor were not spicy despite the red sauce, making them suitable for children and enjoyable for all ages.

Each large skewer was filling enough to satisfy a simple hunger.

Festive Atmosphere and Attractions

Kids were seen happily holding fluffy cotton candy, a festival staple!

Watching children walk around with giant cotton candy brought me joy as well.

Amid the food booths, there were Christmas photo zones and artificial snow displays that blended seamlessly.

The most popular attraction was balloon art created by Santa, with children eagerly waiting in line, their excitement was adorable.

Additionally, there was an emergency medical support booth and vehicle on standby, which left a positive impression for families visiting with children.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 Seongnam-dong Snow Flower Festival was a success. It was an event that could be enjoyed without any burden, satisfying families, couples, and children alike.

If you missed last year, I highly recommend visiting this year! For those wanting to fully experience the year-end atmosphere, it will be a choice you won’t regret.

Thank you.
