Ulsan Nam-gu Seonam Lake Park: A Christmas Tree Night View Spot

It's that time of year again!
The streets are now filled with a festive atmosphere.
Christmas trees are adorning the city, and sparkling lights beckon us to create memories.
Recently, I heard from an acquaintance that the Christmas tree decorations at Seonam Lake Park in Ulsan Nam-gu are truly beautiful.
These days, I've been walking along the Yeocheon Stream near my home, and I seem to have forgotten about the nighttime strolls I used to enjoy at Seonam Lake Park.
On a warm Sunday recently, I visited Seonam Lake Park for the first time in a while.
This healing space, known for its beauty in all four seasons, is just a 20-minute walk from my home.
Having such a wonderful natural space nearby is truly a blessing.
While the night view of the dazzling tree decorations is lovely, the daytime scenery of Seonam Lake Park under the warm sunlight has its own charm.
I decided to take a leisurely walk past the Whale Sculpture guarding the archway and head towards the Christmas tree installation at Mugunghwa Hill.
In fact, I spent half a day exercising in the park, enjoying a late lunch, and waiting for the lights to turn on at the tree.
I will compare and show you the different landscapes of day and night.
One of my favorite paths in Seonam Lake Park is the 'Garden of Wind' and 'Garden of Water.'
Here, you can feel as if you're walking and conversing with the trees along the lakeside.
Especially in the lush green season, visiting this place offers a truly fantastic view.
A few years ago, while working in film, I met actor Kim Hong-pyo here, who praised it as a beautiful location.
After passing through the Water Garden, a bit further along, you will reach the First Lotus Pond and the watermill.
At this point, a long deck path extends over the lake.
When you visit in the green season, the scenery here is stunningly beautiful.
Don't forget to take a life photo at the colorful chair photo zone in the ecological wetland!
Even if you don't take a photo, just sitting on the colorful chairs and looking at the wide wetlands is enough for healing.
Seonam Lake Park is currently undergoing construction from October 13, 2025, to February 28, 2026, from the Rose Tunnel to the photo zone observation deck at the First Lotus Pond.
As you move through the park, you'll discover a unique building that resembles a boat or a whale.
This building houses the management office, where you can get assistance for park use, find rest areas and restrooms, and purchase simple drinks and snacks.
Seonam Lake Park is part of the Haepalang Trail's Course 6 in Ulsan Nam-gu.
It begins at Deokha Station and runs through Seonam Lake Park (3.9 km from Deokha Station to Seonam Lake Park) to Solmaru Road, offering a nature-filled course.
As you pass the management office toward the Second Lotus Pond and ecological wetland, you'll encounter various sculpture photo zones.
In Ulsan, the city of whales, you can find whale sculptures throughout Seonam Lake Park.
Seonam Lake Park is a place where people and nature coexist.
The park's four seasons are one of Ulsan's nine scenic spots.
Let's go see the pride of Ulsan Nam-gu!
Don't miss the beautiful photo zones!
On Christmas, may you receive blessings and love.
Remember the day we met, whether apart or together.
Even when we're apart, my heart is always with you.
When we meet again, let's sing together.
May the whole world be filled with your fragrance.
- Christmas Blessings
