The festival kicked off with grandeur, themed "The Time of Ceramics Created by Yeoju and Opened by Sejong." The opening ceremony featured performances by soprano Cinderella, popular singers Song Gain, Chun-gil, and Jeon Yu-jin, showcasing a variety of stages.

The Ceramic Promotion and Sales Hall displays an array of Yeoju ceramics. Visitors can explore unique works from various pottery companies, including white porcelain and celadon, as well as pieces from master artisans and practical ceramics. This is a perfect opportunity for those looking to acquire ceramics from the region known for its pottery.

The highlight of the festival is the "Ceramic Promotion and Sales Hall," featuring 92 pottery companies showcasing their diverse works. The variety of pieces, from traditional to modern, offers a delightful experience for attendees.

Additionally, a special "Young Potters' Hall" is set up to feature works from current pottery students and graduates of a master craftsman training program. This area showcases charming and intricate pieces.

Visitors can also enjoy various hands-on experience programs, such as molding clay to create pottery or painting on ceramics. Family-friendly programs are plentiful, making it a great opportunity for families to create lasting memories.

After exploring the ceramics and participating in activities, it's time to refuel. Food stalls and food trucks are lined up behind the ceramic sales hall, offering treats like freshly made rice cakes and refreshing drinks.

Even if you miss the opening ceremony, there are exciting performances scheduled until May 10. Popular artists like Lee Chan-won, MeloMance, Haha, and Tei will perform. On Children's Day, May 5, at 5 PM, the Republic of Korea Air Force's Black Eagles will hold an air show. A special communication program titled "Happy Pottery with Pengsoo" will take place on May 9, featuring the popular character Pengsoo. Exclusive merchandise like Pengsoo mugs and cups will also be available.

To facilitate visitors from other regions, shuttle buses are operating during the festival. Reservations can be made through the KakaoT app, with departure points including major stations in Seoul. The festival also provides shuttle services connecting Yeoju Station and the festival site, enhancing accessibility.

On the final day, May 10, shuttle services will be extended until 9:30 PM. For those driving, five parking lots around the festival area will accommodate up to 2,000 vehicles.

On this beautiful spring day, why not create special memories with your family at the Yeoju Ceramic Festival?
