To enter, you need to purchase a ticket at the entrance. Adult visitors can receive a refund of 2,000 KRW in Namwon Love Gift Certificates. Free entry is available for registered disabled individuals and children under six.
Upon entering Jirisan Herb Valley, the first attraction you will encounter is the Tropical Plant Garden, where various flowers and plants blend with herbs, creating a fragrant and relaxing atmosphere.
The first floor of the Complex Topiary Hall features a Kids Zone, making it a perfect spot for families to take a break with their children.
As you pass through the Oheub Garden, you will find the hydrangea path beginning at the hill. The path is about 3 meters wide, creating a lovely atmosphere for families or couples to enjoy a leisurely walk while chatting.
The hydrangeas at Jirisan Herb Valley begin to bloom in late June and can be enjoyed throughout the summer. Even after the flowers fade in September, their shapes remain for a while, creating a different ambiance.
The average temperature in the Jirisan Herb Valley area is about 3°C lower than in other regions, and during my visit in late June, I noticed a few hydrangeas beginning to bloom. If you want to see the hydrangeas in full bloom, visiting from mid-July to August would be ideal.
The hydrangea path stretches for 500 meters along a zigzag trail, allowing you to slowly walk and admire the beautiful scenery, momentarily forgetting the summer heat.
However, I recommend bringing an umbrella or hat for a more comfortable and leisurely experience along the hydrangea path.
As you stroll down the hydrangea path, you will find the Jirisan Native Plant Pressed Flower Hall and Wildflower Photo Exhibition next to the Oheub Garden, showcasing beautiful pressed flowers from over 400 species of the 1,450 native plants of Jirisan.
In the herb greenhouse, you can closely examine various herb plants and enjoy their fragrances, fully experiencing the charm of herbs.
Jirisan Herb Valley offers not only the hydrangea path but also botanical gardens, exhibition halls, and walking trails, providing various healing courses for a relaxed visit.
If you're looking for hydrangeas in Jeollabuk-do this summer, I highly recommend experiencing the beauty of hydrangeas with family or a partner at the hydrangea path in Jirisan Herb Valley!
