Summer Escape at Jinha Beach, Ulsan
Jinha Beach in Ulsan, Ulju-gun, is a must-visit summer getaway.
During the day, you can enjoy the cool sea and water activities, and at night, you can explore the mysterious island of Myeongseondo.
In July and August, when the heat is intense, the wide sandy beach is filled with people eager to enjoy Jinha Beach.

Jinha Beach will be open from June 26 to August 31, 2026, for a total of 67 days.
I visited last weekend, and many people came to Jinha Beach to cool off from the heat.
To accommodate the influx of visitors, the public parking lots have been expanded.
The free parking period matches the beach's schedule, so you can park for free.
However, please note that camping and overnight stays in caravans or RVs are prohibited.
Fireworks are also not allowed on the beach!
Please take your trash home or dispose of it in designated trash bags.
There are recycling stations near the public restrooms.
At the free rental station at Jinha Beach, you can borrow tubes and life jackets for free, and there is also free air inflation for the tubes.
You can borrow two tubes per person, and there is no limit on life jackets! Just remember to bring an ID for the rental.
When you rent, you will receive a numbered ticket. Return it to get your ID back.
Life jackets come in sizes S, M, L, and XL, and there are two types of tubes available.
The rental hours are from 10 AM to 6:30 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the water before returning them.
On the sandy beach, you'll find red, yellow, and white umbrellas. They are secured with sandbags so they won't move.
Umbrellas are provided for free, so feel free to choose your favorite spot.
With free umbrellas providing shade from the hot sun, you can enjoy water activities and delicious snacks under the shade!
Now that you've settled in and rented your water toys, it's time to enjoy the beach!
Jinha Beach is divided into swimming and no-swimming zones. The no-swimming areas are designated for marine sports, so please adhere to these rules.
Even standing still can feel hot, so I rushed to the sea. The water in July is refreshingly cold.
But once you immerse yourself and let the waves carry you, you'll quickly adapt.
There are safety personnel stationed around to ensure everyone's safety. You can only swim in areas marked by buoys.
Jet skis patrol the waters to monitor for any dangerous situations.
Jinha Beach boasts over 1 km of sandy shoreline, perfect for building sandcastles and creating memories with your kids.
You can also enjoy various water sports, such as jet skiing, banana boats, and flyboarding (for a fee).
The thrill of speeding through the water is refreshing just to watch!
After a fun day in the water, it's time to wash off. Showers are available for visitors to clean up.
During peak hours, you may need to wait in line, but there is a waiting area to make it comfortable.
You cannot use personal toiletries inside, but you can wash up and change clothes.
To maintain clean restrooms, there are showers and foot-washing stations outside.
