Seoul's Hottest Spots: Thanks to 'K-Demon Hunters'!
Gyedong-gil, Jongno District, Seoul

Is this the ‘K-Demon Hunters’ Effect?
Top 3 Trending Spots in the Seoul Metropolitan Area
Wow, was this place always this popular?
These days, many Seoul tourist destinations are gaining attention as backdrops in the Netflix series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'.
As the real-life locations that inspired scenes in the show have become known, tourists (both Korean and international) are flocking to these places, turning them into true 'hot spots'.
In this post, I'll introduce three Seoul attractions that have recently surged in popularity due to the 'K-Demon Hunters' effect.
Here's a breakdown:
➊ Bukchon Hanok Village
The best place to experience Seoul's traditional beauty, Bukchon Hanok Village.
With its dense concentration of hanoks (traditional Korean houses) dating back to the Joseon Dynasty, and the continuous eaves and tiled roofs lining every alley, this is the very place that inspired the scene where Lumi, Jinwoo, and Duffy meet and talk in 'K-Demon Hunters'.
Step into one of the traditional teahouses or charming cafes scattered throughout and soak in the serene atmosphere of the Hanok Village.
➋ Seoul K-Medi Center
Learn about the history of Korean traditional medicine at the Seoul K-Medi Center.
Located next to the herbal medicine market in Jegidong, Dongdaemun-gu, this complex offers a comprehensive experience of Korean medicine culture.
With a reasonable admission fee, you can enjoy a herbal medicine exhibition hall, a medicinal cuisine cafe, a foot bath experience, massage programs, and other fulfilling experiences.
In 'K-Demon Hunters', Lumi loses her voice and visits a traditional Korean medicine clinic to receive a herbal medicine prescription. Thanks to that scene, interest in Korean medicine and clinics has grown, and more foreigners are visiting the Seoul K-Medi Center.
The subtle scent of herbal medicine fills the indoor space, making it a truly unique experience for foreign tourists.
➌ Naksan Park Fortress Wall Trail
A peaceful walking path offering panoramic views of the city, Naksan Park Fortress Wall Trail.
This trail stretches approximately 2 km from Hyehwamun Gate to Heunginjimun Gate.
During the day, the scenery of the fortress wall blending with the city is beautiful, and at night, the twinkling lights of Seoul create a charming night view.
Illuminated by lights, the Naksan Park Fortress Wall Trail, with its added romance, is known as the place that inspired the emotional scene in 'K-Demon Hunters' where Lumi and Jinwoo walk along the fortress wall, sharing their stories.
So, what do you think? Doesn't everyday space look new?
Bukchon Hanok Village, K-Medi Center, and Naksan Park were all just spaces that were woven into our daily lives.
Now that I know they were the motif of famous animations, it looks very different :)
How about going on a weekend trip to these familiar, yet new spaces this weekend?
