While searching for fun things to do on a date in Ikseon-dong, I discovered the Royal Water Showroom!
My boyfriend recently started getting interested in fragrances, so I decided to visit to pick out a men's perfume together.
With 75 different types of scents, it's perfect for choosing one that suits your mood, and fragrance enthusiasts can even layer them.
The 10ml size seemed compact and portable, while the 30ml perfumes offered great value for the price.
They offer a variety of affordable options, from basic and trendy scents to unique and high-quality fragrances.
I learned that Extrait de Parfum has twice the concentration, resulting in a longer-lasting fragrance.
It was great to easily sample different scents.
They had a range of scents like hinoki, fig, soap, floral, powdery, and woody.
They offered both familiar scents and unique combinations that were new to me, a fragrance novice, which was refreshing.
Sampling the fruity fragrances put me in a good mood.
Smoky Tobacco
It had a charcoal scent with fig and black tea notes, creating a strong yet soft and three-dimensional fragrance.
Africa Festival
The name was intriguing, and the scent was surprisingly warm.
Faded Text
This truly smelled like an old bookstore + the Kyobo Bookstore scent!
It was familiar yet unique, making it a tough choice.
My final pick was Apple Brandy.
As soon as I smelled it, I thought, "Wow, this is amazing!"
The scent of brandy or sweet whiskey hits you first, followed by the sweetness of apple and juniper berries.
Anyone who loves sweet whiskey or brandy will definitely love this sweet but neutral fragrance.
It would be perfect for both men and women.
Originally, I went to choose a perfume for my boyfriend, but I ended up picking this one right away! Haha...
Thankfully, my boyfriend liked it too.
The Royal Water Showroom has 75 different types of perfumes, so I recommend visiting and sampling them during your date in Ikseon-dong!
I purchased Royal Water Apple Brandy 30ml and Iso E Super 10ml, which has a clean, powdery scent.
Later, I discovered that Iso E Super is known as a more affordable alternative to Le La*, with a long-lasting fragrance.
I think I made a good choice since it's a great scent for everyday wear...!
The packaging was neat, making it perfect for a gift.
Royal Water Apple Brandy still smells amazing.
The initial scent is great, but it quickly settles into the base notes, which was a bit disappointing.
However, the base notes are also appealing and universally liked, so that might be a good thing...?
