My Baseball Stadium Adventures: Food, Fun, and Fandom!
I started watching baseball last year, and this year I'm completely hooked... It's gotten to the point where nothing else is as fun as baseball.
I'd love to go to a game in person at least once a week, but tickets are so hard to get... It seems like the fewer games left in the season, the tougher the ticketing gets. Anyway... today I'm going to share some stories from my trips to the baseball stadium!
When I go to games alone, I don't usually bother packing food, but when I go with my son, I tend to bring a lot.
I try to pack enough so he can take leftovers back to his place.
Butter-grilled squid... Home Run Balls, which feel essential at a baseball game... and his favorite jellies, etc.
At the stadium, it seems like containers of snacks are more convenient than bags, so I stock up when they're buy-one-get-one.
Recently, I discovered Jjolmays...
And I also bring plenty of wet wipes and tissues... and give any leftovers to my son to put in his bag.
They're easy to carry around, and if he keeps them in his bag, they might come in handy in an emergency.
Cooling patches - my son brought them to a baseball game last year, and that's how I found out about them.
This year, it seems like Madeca collaborated with the KBO to create these team-specific patches.
A set consists of 10 packs with 4 patches in each pack and costs about 30,000 won.
When I go to a game, I feel like I have to wear a patch with our LG Twins logo on my forehead! Haha.
To be honest... I don't really know if it's that cooling... It feels cold when you put it on, but it doesn't really relieve the heat that much.
My son says it's much better with the patch on. I guess it's a matter of personal preference. Hehe.
Anyway, it's an essential item!
They also do a lot of events at the stadium. It seems like Bae Hong Dong was doing an event that day.
I stood in line and got a bag too, haha.
Drinking beer at the stadium is amazing, but I haven't been drinking it much at recent games.
I feel like it makes me even hotter in the already hot weather.
When I go to home games, I think it's so cool to see the players standing in three rows and saluting the flag.
Ugh, the scorching sun... Still, there's something about sweating in the middle of summer, with my hair sticking to my face, while cheering.
But really... if you're in the direct sunlight for more than an hour, you start to feel dizzy.
You can't even yell when you're cheering.
I don't know how the players play in this sunlight...
Even when the sun starts to set...
Until it's completely gone...
It's blinding... Is this why the players miss the ball?
But the sky is beautiful!
The sky in real-time as the sun sets is really beautiful!
Especially the sky in Jamsil - it's so, so beautiful!
I go with my son sometimes...
But I also go alone occasionally...

I don't keep paper tickets like I used to when I was younger, but these days the tickets are pretty! Haha.
Not just Jamsil, but it seems like most teams have a water festival for a certain period during the summer.
Jamsil was no exception, and they were spraying a lot of water...
It's also fun to watch the players when you go to a game.
This seat was on the third base side when we played against Hanwha.
When I go alone, it's not easy to sit in the opposing team's seats.
But when I go with my son, it feels okay since I have someone on my side.
These days, the cheering culture seems to be a bit more sophisticated.
It's more of an atmosphere where everyone enjoys themselves, without giving you the side-eye for cheering for the opposing team.
But even so, it's not easy to sit alone in enemy territory. Haha.
That day, my son said he wasn't hungry because he had eaten a lot, so I bought a waffle at the entrance.
Oh, but it was pretty good! I shared it with my son, who said he didn't want any.
Night falls.
I didn't know, but it was the last day of the water festival, so they had fireworks.
The other team won the game, but we decided to stay and watch the fireworks.
They shot off a lot more than I expected.
It was pretty awesome.
My new glossy jacket arrived recently.
It's an essential item for the fall baseball season...
It's not that I don't have time; I don't have tickets...
I'm looking forward to fall baseball!
