I visited the Goyang City Memorial Hall and the Memorial Park.
Upon visiting, I realized that this place is not just an exhibition hall or a park, but a site that commemorates the history of Goyang and the sacrifices of patriots and fallen heroes.
What is the Goyang City Memorial Hall?
The Goyang City Memorial Hall is an educational space focused on veterans and history, located alongside the Memorial Park.

Exploring the Taegukdan Anti-Communist Historic Site
Nearby the Memorial Hall is the Taegukdan Anti-Communist Historic Site.
Taegukdan was formed during the Korean War when Goyang and Paju were under North Korean control, primarily consisting of students from the Gyeongui Line train.
Visiting these sites made me realize that the history of Goyang's veterans is not just a distant story.
The traces of those who acted to protect the nation remain in our community.
A meaningful educational space for children
The Goyang City Memorial Hall and Memorial Park are significant places to visit with children.
Here, they can directly see and feel the history of the independence movement and the Korean War.
By first visiting the Memorial Tower and the memorial hall, then moving to the exhibition hall, one can better understand the significance of the space.
